I wouldn't vouch for anyone in these times openly. Right now practically all companies are trying to hang on. Unless you are a company's fucking accountant dont assume ANYONE in this business is a goin concern.

Gearing will get you out of the hole, but an overwhelming amount of horsepower and torque in any other cars favor will slingshot them past you after 330'.

I have 3.27 gears in my car and it will still 1.5 60' on the motor.

[Note to all bored by car talk, we are trying to lure Dave out to speak to the masses that have gathered..]

Full cam. You are right prob about 350 horse. Had a street/strip ignition, fiberglass fan..

Exactly right, I would jump most anyone, factory gears are 386 (is it?) then 411 then 456 which are unheard of. But I have a nutty mechanic friend who siad go for it. :)

But not really that much horse by todays standards and I would prob get beat alot through mid and top end today.

This was my first Camaro and the year was 1975 ish. I lost my license twice as a teen. One Friday night I tore ass out of a dancehall cause a buddy may have had some shit on him (many years ago) lol, and basicly out ran a posse. We went to a town and ditched one block over and the posse drove by. :) Coming Monday a big ole Sherrif knocked on my Apt 40 miles a way. Only so many of those cars in the state. :)

He says, "why did you run."
"Duh, I dont know."
"We just wanted to tell you to park it." :)

Ah fuck stories I could tell. :)

New cars dont come with stories. :winkwink:

Dave was so generous to email me and tell me that my account had never been approved in the first place (many years back). I guess it was just a mistake from their end to have sent out payments for many years.
I hope they are not going to ask me to pay them back.

But if you think a 275/60/15 is a fat tire... and a mildly worked LT1 motor with 4.56 gears will beat a lambo.... aaaaaaaaaaaaand etc ... LOL.

How do you know the tire size from his post ?

I also could tell you exactly why it is failing. But then discussion time is over now.

Yeah actually an N50 is a 50 not a 60 (275/60/15)

And prob about 15" of tread seems about right at least. Suffice it to say an N50 is, or at least was a meaty meat. :) Can we get a tire guy in here. lol

He knows his shit tho. Sometimes I test you all. I start talking weird stuff like gear ratios and indeed one guy knows about it. :) Smart people around here. :)

I still cant see how he knows the 275 number
A N50 comes in many widths.

Maybe a 275 is the max that will fit on that car without mods and since you did not mention anything about tubs.

yeah 275 is the height I think (they call it something else, cant think off the top of my head)

Sounds like he is an old tire sales guy. I think he meant to say 275/50/15 which is about right.

Anyhow all this car talk was cause Dave likes cars and was a friendly gesture to start a dialogue.

Have you read anything in this thread?

How would you feel about Dave if he is running off with the money you earned that he decided to not pay you?

standup bunch? you should reconsider who real "standup" people are man :disgust

You also were pals with Epassporte, you may be a good guy but supporting Dave until he pays everyone means nothing.

and epass ran a good business for many years too and we see how that turned out didn't we :) Past actions are just that, they mean nothing today. I can be a model citizen today and go walk into a bank and rob it tomorrow. Its just how it is.

Mitch, You made your own company look bad by trying to defend someone who owes a lot of people money and has been acting very aggressively on this board lately.

Shap 12-16-2010 06:24 AM

If you owe someone money pay up. They earned it. Pay them karma's a bitch especially if they need that money more than you do.

Dave's been very fortunate in life. Beautiful wife and kids, made a killing, lots of fun toys. I don't know why he is inviting this crap into his life. If you screw someone over don't be surprised if you, your wife, your kids, your dog, your neighbors, and everything else in your life gets dragged in. It's all fair game. All you have to do is fuck the wrong person and you end up regretting it for life.

Maybe he lives in a bubble and doesn't feel there are any consequences to his actions.

Forkbeard 12-16-2010 07:02 AM

I think a lot of these guys have been living so high for so long, they genuinely don't understand that people they screw out of a few hundred bucks may genuinely get excited enough to show up in their real lives and do something stupid. Combine that with an unhealthy dose of the standard internet complacency -- the assumption that the noisy people you type at online aren't really REAL, they're just anonymous pixels who can't affect you in real life -- and the temptation to start dicking people over just gets to certain people.

Dave now says I am a broke, failure, loser. :Oh crap One day he was congrating me on my success and said he respected me etc, the next i am a broke failure who was in the " right place at the right time ". Amazing how the second someone doesn't like you anymore you suddenly become "broke, failure, nobody". To what you are saying above, it is some twisted justification i guess they do in their own heads. I can't count how many people have pulled this shit with me, surely if they don't like me and I piss them off then I must be a loser - nobody.

Kenny B! 12-16-2010 08:47 AM

After seeing the extent people went through to get money from Mallack and then run his name through the dirt, contacting all facebook friends etc. one would think Dave would send the checks and not invite this hassle and headache into his life.

I have no idea what is owed but I'm pretty sure Dave could figure out a way to clear the debts.

Well the crowd knows you provide lots of good nuts and bolts stuff. Only thing I know about Dave (up to this) seriously, is he must be a bodybuilder cause of his avatar I noticed.

He like most payops are not running around here giving out jack anything (most not all)

I run FFvB, guess who is on ignore.. guess who isnt..

I'll tell ya the latter.. any working affil isnt..

Well, as a processor you get paid first, so if they make money so do you. Not always the case for WMs.

(In general for sites, not specifically saying you process for Cyberage)

i don't ever vouch for anyone anymore. those days are over.

one guy i have vouched for in the last several years. MarkE4A for SEO stuff.

mainly because he is great at what he does and my results with him prove that.

other than that, no one will ever see me vouching for anyone.

From an affiliate perspective I'm noticing that as far as programs go things totally change on average within 3 - 5 years. This seems about the average life of a program in it's initial beneficial form. After that all bets are off. If you look back you'll see a graveyard of once great programs who eventually either died, became scams, or sunk to total irrelevancy. Not surprisingly once their program dies it seems that most owners often try all sorts of ridiculous and desperate things unless they just sell out instead.

Even the best program or person now is a total wildcard after a couple years.

thats why a program with payouts that are unattractive to affiliates will sit and chug along for the lifetime of the brand. programs paying 25-30 dollars PPS with a brand and good retention are lurking in the shadows, but get shit on by the affiliate community because they won't play the big PPS game. there are some out there. they will be there 10 years from now too. sooner or later people are going to realize that they have to play the long term game and dispense with falling for the marketing tactics of opportunistic programs. i know, i've promoted them and pitched them over the last 12 years. it's a vicious cycle.

Not me. I'm done with that. I've been trying to push the small or medium sized guys mainly with fair ccbill or verotel programs (some Nats). They tend to appreciate anyone who sends them clean signups. That's what a partnership is all about. Some of the ones you're speaking of these days well it seems as if they think they are doing you a favor by letting you be in their program unless you run redtube. From past experiences I tend to know what that means and what will typically happen to such a business in due time. Usually I've been right. I only hope that what I send to the good programs helps to keep us both afloat while the others perish.
