If the troops are drafted then I would support them - but not always their actions. They have no choice as to whether they want to go fight or not. In that case, I'd be against the government sending them to fight, not the troops.

Whether we agree with the policies of our government is moot. It is the best thing we have going. Look at the countries around the world that don't have a government.. They have anarachy and total chaos.

Making a thread like this simply to disrespect those men and women who do believe in democracy and are willing to put it all on the line has no merit. Like it or not the world hasn't evolved to the point where we don't need a strong military.

It is not the place of the United States to go in and tell other people what they can and can't do. You have no right being in Iraq, Afghanistan, or any other place in the world - at least just as much a right as the terrorists have to live in the US.

In case you haven't noticed, the United States spends almost as much as the rest of the world combined on their military. Why do you guys feel like you need this huge military and are always under attack while other countries live better than you guys do, don't have a military, are happier, healthier, and better educated than you guys are and they aren't always out killing people 'just because'.

The United States doesn't give two shits about democracy. All it cares about is getting what they want - no matter what it takes; even if that means slaughtering innocent women and children.

The idea is that tons of troops are still over there, afraid to tell the truth about how they feel. This guy kept on following orders even though he knew the side he was fighting for was murdering kids. Look for anyone reading this thread my main point is that US soldiers have no business in Afghanistan or Iraq. They need to be out of those places and back home where they can support their families and have a merry Christmas.
