It's worse when they stay for the night. When i get up the next day, i like my own time and space. I don't wanna wake up to find assholes still in my house... Bah !!

Yah I was getting that feeling last time I was at yours... suck it up, coz it's hard to get rid of me :1orglaugh

For me it depends who it is. My girlfriends parents came to stay with us for 2 weeks when we lived in Malta and it was great having them there. Her mum cooks, cleans, and enjoys going out for nice dinners etc. Her dad is no hassles whatsoever, so its nice having them around. My mum came to visit me in Canada end of November for 10 days and she was bugging me after a week LOL. Bad to say that I know, but she picks at stuff that I do or don't do, and it really irritates me. Scott McD came to stay with me in Malta for 2 weeks as well and it was a blast, we just got drunk and had fun. I like having friends around, but my own family I don't like to stay with me for too long :)

I'm allergic to kids.

If it is family (I am pretty close to them) 2 weeks is about the max unless they have their own car and can go and do stuff on their own.

Friends visiting is good for a weekend, tops and that happens quite often. A Friday night get together at our place leads to people spending the night because we don't allow drinking and driving which leads to me making breakfast the next morning which leads to them staying the day. I am learning though if I don't feed them, they leave faster, lol

They live far away and we wanted them to be here for both Christmas and New Year but in retrospect it was indeed a tad excessive.

My in-laws used to come for 2 months at at time and at one point I had 4 in laws plus their 3 kids all staying in my home. Now that I have 2 kids of my own it was just too much to handle, so we bought another home in the neighborhood and furnished it with all my old furniture & they stay there when they come. However, I still need to try renting it out the rest of the time to make it a more worthwhile idea. I'll let you know how that goes.

If they are non-related, female and we are having good sex, 2-3 days. All others are welcome to stay for dinner.

BFT3K 12-29-2010 03:23 PM

2 to 6 hours is long enough to have some food, a few drinks, and a bit of conversation.

Remember, hotels exist for a reason.

nikki99 12-29-2010 04:28 PM

it depends the size of the house/apt ....

Seth Manson 12-29-2010 06:27 PM

Maybe 3 - 4 hours at most.

Same when I go to someone else's house, 3 - 4 hours at most then I'm ready to go home.

NikKay 12-30-2010 02:11 PM

Judging by my Christmas visitors, 3 days is my max.
