The only thing itching me is, GOD here GOD there but if it's what it takes...

What a voice huh ?

TheSenator 01-05-2011 10:47 AM

"Feel good" story to start of the year!

On another note, 84-35 penalty tax waiver is a savior!

On Stern today, he said the whole thing was a hoax/publicity stunt for Magic 98.9 the guy is alllll over their site, but I have no clue if it's real or not, But Stern swears it was all a ploy to get the station name and number all over the place, which it HAS, so who knows

Lebron James gone, Cavs spirit and winning days gone. Here comes Teddy, that should keep there hopes rolling.

Lester Burnham 01-05-2011 11:34 PM

"My boss said to me: 'If you don't get him hired, you're fired,'" said Kevin McLoughlin, director of post-production films for the National Football League. He contacted The Dispatch last night in search of Williams.

LOL.

I'm worried though that some "agent" will just take advantage of him and take his money. He probably doesn't have a good support system around him, and one has to wonder if he'll choose his advisors wisely. His first order of business should be to find a great lawyer at a large, legit law firm and then go from there.

I could totally envision some shady dude saying, "sign this exclusive deal and I'll give you $1,000". He signs the paper and then he's fucked. I hope it doesn't happen, but I could see it happening.

Poppy 01-06-2011 08:14 AM

What's crazy is that is right by Columbus Crew stadium. I have never seen that guy, but what a story. Honorably discharged from the Army.

I hope the people that shot the video get a finders fee.

DateDoc 01-06-2011 09:29 AM

Almost 12 million views now.

he earned his place in heaven :2 cents: he helped a man that had fallen as far as a man can fall. besides dead.

I wrote to the dispatch and I think everyone else should too... [email protected]

Here is what I wrote...

I was furious after learning you guys had this Ted Williams video taken down. It wasnt your stupid little newspaper that got him world wide attention, it was the youtube video and this was the link that everyone has already been posting. How dare you guys steal his 15 minutes of fame in hopes of getting more page views to your site or ad revenue. I hope whoever made this decision realizes they are beyond idiotic. This link was e-mailed to all my friends and family, posted on my facebook and a bunch of my friends were posting it too, I saw it on all my message boards I visit, on news sites, etc... now it just goes to a dead link and the world will slowly forget about Ted Williams. This video could have been an all time youtube viral hit. Sad sad people you guys are, its profits before people for you guys though I guess.

the youtube video gave them more exposure than they could ever dream of even with just that logo at the end. they don't deserve to be in business. they are just too stupid.

dan@noof 01-06-2011 03:01 PM

This guy certainly has a face for radio... but seriously, I hope something good comes of this for him.

Sent them a similar email. It's amazing how incompetent some people really are.

That video would hit one hundred million views this year.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — A trip to Hollywood for appearances on "Dr. Phil" and "Entertainment Tonight" got off to a rough start for an Ohio homeless man whose golden voice has made him an Internet sensation.
Quote:

Janey Williams told ET she was angry because her father, a recovering alcoholic and drug addict, had resumed drinking.

"He has consumed at least a bottle of Gray Goose a night. That's not including the Coronas he ordered, that's not including the Budweisers he ordered, the other alcohol, the wines. He drinks heavily," she said.

Ted Williams denied to ET that he had been drinking.
The big question is will he be able to handle it all.

I wish Ted good luck, but he has been in that life a long time.I don't think it will end good. One thing about Americans we want to see a good story either way.
