I'm under the impression that Xbiz is simply throwing nominations around at this point.

this is quoted from their 2257 exempt page . . they are basically saying the girls in the photos may or may not be over 18 :2 cents:

Translated: "We don't know shit about a lot of the content we use. Could have slipped several underage girls through the filter, now being spread all over the net. Not counting all the girls who are unaware of the pictures, because it was uploaded by an ex-boyfriend with malicious intents"

Translated: "We don't have ID's so no real control with model age. We trust the uploaders and if any case arise blame is basically on them. We simply make money of content we have verified as *most probably ok* to use."

I don't care if they are exempt or not, Porko himself swore up and down on another forum that they absolutely have 2257 and ID for all the girls....then when I showed him my content, then he pulled the 2257 card after being busted in his lies.

user submitted content will exempt you from 2257 requirements but it doesn't exempt you from CP prosecution. The bad thing with not having age docs is if the pictures look young, the girl may even be of age but if they can't find here to prove it do you really want a jury and "experts" to decide if she is over 17 or not ?

Sooner of later one of these "exgf" sites will get taken to court for CP and it will be a coin flip if they do serious time or not. The "user" who allegedly uploaded it would likely be on the hook to if they could track him down.

I know they use a picture with 2 girls wearing hat's looking into a mirror that can be no older than 12 years old. It's an absolutely disgusting picture, how that site is still up amazes me honestly.

Mutt, nobody nominates anyone, you have to nominate yourself. But believe me, I'd have nominated you if I'd simply remember to vote. But yes, some of the nominations are a joke to say the least, XBiz should at least do a simple check of who is nominated, it's not that hard

so that is why I am not nominated?
I hoped for Emerging Web Company or Up-and-Coming Web Company and/or at least Community of the Year

give em the award and then put em up to accept right before ASACP Service Recognition Award...

there's always at least a few 'laughable' nominees every year but i honestly figured xbiz knew but just didn't care because of the whole '2257 exemption' shit

I'm inclined to agree with you. And now that AVN owns GFY it'll be interesting to see if anything changes.

I'm no lawyer but my guess is that this statement would do nothing at all to protect them if they allowed pictures of under age girls to be displayed on their website.

-you all like to get traffic from those sites. with content like that
-many have exgf sites like that
-and many guys making "fake/pro" exgf content to compete to that niche. (and destroying it )
-same with tubes. you ppl do like the traffic they send (well not everyone)

XBIZ does not do the nominating. I am amazed that people can throw out accusations on the board, but can't take one minute to send an email as requested.
