The most offensive part is that they had us do extra labor to "summarize" the work done on the new contract extension they requested in writing (as per our initial contract), then snubbed it and offered a 10k settlement. That became 8k, then 2,500 only IF I agreed not to sue them (and signed a document saying so). I told them to shove it up their ass.


Eh, well, life goes on. I gave them a 50% discount in exchange for GFY ads (which kept getting put off, then I never got). Original deal was $120,000, cut it in half to $60,000 for the ads. They paid the inital $60,000 in installments -- which were sometimes very late -- and then sent me written notice that the wanted another $120,000 contract at 50% off. I agreed, had my team and outside vendors work on it for months, where they kept stalling and not paying. Finally, they claimed they just wanted to void the contract ...

.... Long story short, I was still liable to my vendors, one of whom had bypass surgery and I wasn't willng to stiff on the money. So not only did Playboy not pay, but I had to come out of pocket to cover it.

So, then one of Lensman's friends came on GFY with fake drama, which I let slide, and I've kept quiet about it since for fear of the typical cover-up, delete, and ban.

Supporting evidence was removed by a mod -- by whose request I have no idea.

So, $60,000 discount for ads never received + one year extra at $120,000 is actually $180,000 if you think about it. Damages to reputation, libel, and willful contract violations would shoot this total up even higher.

It might make all the sense in the world to just file it now due to the timing.

Oh, and I will add: much love for Eric and the staff at Reality Cash. This is a corporae boner at the VP level, has nothing to do with the good people at RC. They wanted to pay me, begged corporate to do the right thing ... It was just one hardon at corporate trying to screw someone to save on the bottom line.

Wasn't just software. Was the entire service to run it, too. Completely turn-key. And for its time, revolutionary.

One of the technologies was morphing RSS feeds. True morphng, not the crap being passed off as morphing today.

I really enjoyed working for Playboy, I had a couple run ins with a couple people that worked there, but everyone else rocked.
Taking lunch with Ice and Loryn, or sometimes the whole crew would shut down the office and get all you could eat Sushi. We had parties together, we got along and had fun at work. Everyone got those plastic bb gun pistols and shooting everyone during the day, then I bought the full auto p90 in the mail, LMAO
