in the uk if a girl is into pink stuff, chances are she will have somthing with the playboy bunny on it. its not got a porn conection.

in the uk playboy did have an upmarket image. but that was the 70's.

It is hard to say. If they made them like Hooters I think some people would go, but like the one mentioned above they made it an all encompassing casino/resort/club type of place. If they built those in vacation hot spots they could attract a lot of attention to them I think.

The one major problem with a Hooters type place would be the stigma of the name. A lot of people would think it was a strip club or they would associate it with naked women and might steer clear of it.

Playboy has an Iconic History. Hef was the original gansta, strutting around like James Bond. He had the cars, women, and freedom. The Ultimate Bachelor. If they just updated their own brand, cause to me it has taken on an out dated feel. They should come out with a Reality show where Hef passes the touch to a Apprentice, cause no one really buys that Hef is banging them broads.

sites such as that, metart and so on seem to do what playboy did, but to be honest far better.

playboy is like the uk woolworths. they did everything ok, but not great, and other shops simply did things better, while woolworths lived in the past.

in the uk, nuts, hfm, zoo and many more mags set up. they had topless and nude pics likeplayboy (soft porn), but did it much better, and have become big sellers. playboy never changed or brought out other mags. it lives in the past.

playboy should have become the no 1 site on the net. but the sites just do not grab me.

I would setup Playboy styled mansions in the US, Asia, South America and here in Europe (for example Czech Republic).

Wire the mansions with lots of spy cams, make in each mansion chat studios, contract the hottest solo/porn performers from nearby countries and broadcast live to the web and mobile devices.

Each mansion will have a content production manager, shooters and general manager.

Form a good tech/creative team plus and a good marketing team.

From all the content will be created new pay sites from performers integrated with the video chat engine. Feed the webmaster program daily with new sites, content and promotional tools.

Target this concept on the web, mobile devices and also Google TV

it needs to be re-invented.
