Most of us here would respect someone who bothered to personally come on the forum and apologize while honestly explaining the situation. We'd be pissed still but you'd have to respect someone not bullshitting you about the situation. But he didn't do that. I highly doubt Chris Mallick is living in poverty right now but I have no doubt that there are several people who have lost homes, cars, and perhaps even marriages over what he has done. In fact I heard of one guy indirectly losing his life over it.

pretending to be busy fixing things when in reality partying in Cabo = not something an honest person would do.

Calling people who lost a lot of money crazies = not something an honest person would do.

having your lawyers take down websites that tell the story about how a lot of people lost their money = not something an honest person would do.

disappearing after having lost other people's money = not something an honest person would do.

yea, that's true, but what would you expect him to say? "I broke the law by gambling with money that wasn't mine and lost it all"? How would you handle an angry mob after you lost 100M of their money?

I'm not trying to sound like I'm defending the guy, but if the movie is successful, there is at least some chance that he may have some conscience and could send some of the profits back to the epass holders...

I guess there's always a chance but it's not looking very good. The guy was out partying in Cabo while the company was falling apart and people were killing themselves over the situation. Then when people confronted him on Facebook he wrote them off as a bunch of crazies and didn't acknowledge that he owed them a dime. I guess he might have a change of heart but I wouldn't hold my breath.

I really care about piracy and I always watch the movies at cinema or rental dvd or cable, but this is the exception I will download it for free :)

I have just seen the movie.
Middle Men is a better movie than most say here on GFY.
It is not a master piece, not a disaster either - it's a little above average.
I was well entertained most of the time. I rate it 6 out 10.
That's my view of the movie.

The movie sucked, too predictable for the most part. It's like fear and loathing in las vegas with those two idiots behaving exactly like Johny depp and the other dude in the movie.

i watched it yesterday... nothing special, altho the production is good.
