Yalta is beautiful, and you're right, I'd stay away from it during high season since it gets too crowded. |
I live in Russia, Novosibirsk.
Don't forget, Russia VERY big and therefore inhomogeneous country with very different cities. They have big and small city, clean and dirty, with police rules and without, with roads and without... People in Russia not good or bad - just different than another countries like Canadian different than France etc. And have some special parts in charachter. Many people very smart, but most people not smart - because they must fight to live, hard work for small salary. because our prices VERY expensive! Tax etc. Credits for house etc. 15% and upper per year (I know in America 4%). My rent $1000 for small apartment with kitchen, bath, 1 room and small bedroom. In my city (3rd in Russia for biggest), average salary is $700 per month! Politics made our life hardest, they don't wish to rich people with good life. Why? Because if people will have free time in life (not work, sleep...) - people wish to know where money from resource sale? Therefore politics everytime up our tax and scam money from resource sale. "With bad laws and good government officials is quite possible to run the country. But if the officials are bad, do not help and the best laws. " Otto von Bismarck |
after reading this thread, i just became a gfy expert about living in russia

Yalta is a most shitty place in Black Sea you can even imagine:
1) The Sea itself is very dirty there 2) The beach is horrible 3) The territory is extremely dirty 4) People are rude and thievish (because it's Ukraine - a very poor country) There are much more good places on the Black Sea. For example, if you are coming for hot girls and glamor parties, you have to go Sochi. If you want a crystal clear sea, no dirt, no poor Ukrainian beggars, no noise in the night time, got to some mountainous place near Anapa (e.g. Sukko etc). This is a suggestion from a guy who was every fucking where on the Black Sea (Russia, Ukraine, Georgia and Abkhasia) :2 cents: |

What do you think about Yalta Gathering? As i read the board many people go to Ukraine to have fun. |
And... at least I have some other Sea resorts to compare like Mediterranean Sea, Indian Ocean, Persian Gulf, Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. I'm traveling a lot.
|
Overall, "russians are people too"??

And the most important thing. You DON'T NEED A VISA to visit Ukraine! Everyone can enter their country at any time :)

I have cyberxxx unbanned now. I can read all his crap. I'm not surprised we're not friendly nations anymore. I'd rather go Moldova then Russia for vacation because Russia is full of cyberxxx type.

P.S. To the others. I have nothing against normal (usual) Ukrainians. They are the same people as Russians - no real difference. But I really hate all these Nazi nationalists from the west of Ukraine (most of real Ukrainians don't like them too). Simple look at his psi above about Russians. This fucking greedy animal doesn't deserve any indulgence :2 cents: How many threads I did start about Ukraine? Right, not a single one! How please tell me someone, why this old and saggy troll is always starting his shit against Russia? WTF with you, Nazi worm? |

This thread is strated to see how Americans and other countries see Russia for themselves. There is nothing agins that in the rules. You, cyberxxx, are violating Rule #9 calling me Nazi and you should be banned for that.
Baddodg, or whoever is in charge, please, proceed accordingly. |
Would you suck someone's dick to get me banned, or do you think it will happen for nothing? Everything has a price in this word, so be nice - pay for it!
If you didn't get it, I can repeat it again: you are real Nazi. Everyone who don't understand what I mean, just read this: Quote:

But what you did is a direct violating of the rule #9. |
Go on clown, prove it, suck someone's cock and get me banned. I'm waiting.
You are sooooooooo disgusting and pathetic.... |

What about starvation, so it also wasn't happened only in Ukraine. It was everywhere in the USSR those times. And every region has his own butcher who was taken a decision to confiscate grain (the main food for those times). For example in Ukraine the role of butcher was played by Vlas Chubar - the chairman of SNK Ukrainian Soviet Socialistic Republic. Yes, you got his name right - the bastard was Ukrainian. So not some unknown Russian guy has initiated starvation in Ukraine. It was an Ukrainian commie with a name, biography and picture: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...61/Chubar1.jpg I mean the starvation in Ukraine has absolutely real face. The the name of this face is Vlas Chubar (just google about this motherfucker). As I said above, many other regions of the USSR were hit by starvation and many millions people of that multi-national country have died of it. Don't blame Russians, blame COMMIES. So you guys have a lot to learn about the Soviet history if you are going to argue about it. For example, have you seen me arguing about the American history? Guess why? :) |

I haven't tried Russian food, anyone got any recommendations for vegetarian Russian dishes?

Why every conversation about Russia in forum threads or in comments section on you tube turns into a fight, argument about WW2 or stuff like that... People are so full of prejudice and just can't let it go. I choose not to participate in this

Russia looks good in pictures with a good camera angles. A lot of smart people.
But in most cases a lot of aggression. People rarely smile from the good. More like laugh with someone else. Highly developed caste system. People on the good cars are cool. Officials have likened to the gods - they are all allowed. The police are working for themselves. BTW, the same in Ukraine. |

However, Russia is very huge and there are lots of much better (I mean the weather and nature) places. I'd say thousands of times better than gloomy holland and other dwarf northern countries :2 cents: |
Its grey but its also very criminal and very corrupt and ive had first hand experience of the kind of poor ethics of dealing with Russians in business. Also its kind of a criminal state when you look at what has happened to the likes of Khodorkhovsky.
