My NJ studio's gas and electric runs around $400 p/month.

1,500 sq ft with 12 ft ceilings, in an old brick building built in the 1800's - so it is not very well insulated.

Sometimes as high as $600 in the winter, or as low as $200 during the easy months - but overall an average of $400 p/month.

Somewhere around $200/mo. America. Upper, lower, or down-arounder. :upsidedow

:)

4 bedroom house, 90 years old,
annual gas ?800
annual electricity ?900
annual water ?700 (frikken garden!)
annual internet/phone ?300

don't see the point in providing monthly totals as everything is season-related eg our gas is 100% for heating, so in a few weeks it's ready to go off and not come on again till october-november time.

All bills are calculated annually by the energyco's and divided over monthly repayments.

Once thing though, recently switched hot water over from gas to electricity in the form of a heat pump and before that, gas was ?1400/year (as it was running 365/24/7 to keep the tank hot) and electricity was ?600 - by paying ?1200 for the heat pump hot water tank (300 litres) which is 50% paid in tax credits by the state, we've saved ?500/year in energy costs - best frikken 'investment' I EVER made!

Yeah, Hawaiian electric uses imported natural gas to make electricity.

No way it would make sense to put ocean turbines in the most powerful water
that I have ever seen. :disgust

Oh never mind. Turbines might kill a couple of fish in Hanauma Bay.

One north shore wave during high surf could power Waikiki for a week. :1orglaugh

Probably uproot the turbine too; but that's besides the point when I'm bitching.
