This is precisely why I enjoyed it. It was not simply horror in the gore sense, it was morally horrific. Two words: bullet holes.

"Land of the Dead" and "Survival of the Dead" by Romero were quite ok, for relatively new Zombie movies (funny and bloody scenes). "Versus" is very funny. Some nice classics: "Island of the Living Dead", "Braindead", "The Beyond", "Dawn of the Dead", "City of the Living Dead"... nice trash: "Redneck Zombies". :)
