Of course you were asked, because google.maps.com is used there only for demonstration purpose. Seems you didn't read the article right...

It is about stealing your MAC address. This information can be used to find your location with google (the mofo is mapping MAC addresses to actual location). So, find the "Or, you can simply test the Location by entering a router MAC address:" box there, enter some MAC address (e.g.: 12-34-56-78-90-12) click "Search Map" and look at the google map below.

Ah yes, I was scan reading, I read it more like, demo, it will share your loc, xss wont prompt you.

Anyway, I did put in a mac address, I made one up and then put mine in last time, and the one you gave just now... each time it gives me Boston.

Did it work for you?

I think it was, about:config in address bar, search for geo.enabled then click, I think or whatever it is to disable it.

Nothing is ideal. But seems google is working hard on improvement of it's MAC address database. Sometimes yours will be associated with the right location. Just a matter of time. :2 cents:

Do you mean the MAC address locator? Yes, it does (unfortunately I have a shitload of neighbor wi-fi routers around...)

firefox works best for me.
i like the shortcuts, like control T, etc.
Multiple tabs will never be a problem, bookmarks, browsing history.

but it all boils down to your preference and to your comfort.

I'm finding chrome to be a breeze to work with, Firefox crashes too much

Firefox. Chrome is nice as well but it didn't give away for me.
