Sorry to hear that.
Keep a large dog in the car ... |
Ouch that sucks :(
|
That's fucked up bro. Hope your insurance covers it. Good Luck!!!
|
fucking sucks. nice offers from photogs in this thread. hopefully karma catches up with that scumbag.
|
Why are you all so pissed, I just borrowed it...
|
Props to Dean, Brian and Marco for offering to loan him cameras and lenses. Good dudes all around.
|
That sucks bro, I've heard of criminals that will watch a photographer on a location shoot then after the shoot is done and the photog packs up they will bash out the window when they go to lunch. Hope they catch the fuckers.
|
sorry to hear about your loss :(
On a side note, don't you need to be actually present in order to get robbed? |
You live on cul-de-sac in a nice neighborhood.
I can't believe someone would have the balls to break in your car in your driveway with you and the dog at home. What is this world coming to. |
Boo hiss :0(
|
does suck
my advise is put your gear in tatty looking bags. one simple option is to put everything into black bags, then people just presume your getting rid of rubbish. |
Thats lame, but people laugh a me when i bring my stills camera bag, video camera bag and laptop into a restaurant when i go to lunch or dinner after a shoot.
If you cant afford to loose it, don't leave it in your car. Sorry to hear it. I own a Laser lighting company and the lasers systems i have are 40K to 80K per system. I had a friend who was in my same business did a rave show in vegas and got home from his show at 8am and was to tired to bring his gear in. He woke up at 11am and went to unload his car, when he came to find that someone else unloaded his gear for him. Was pretty sad. Laser shows back then fetched $1000, $2000 per show with 3 shows a week. Needles to say he was out of business. All of that because he was to tired to unload his gear. His lesson was way enough lesson for me. Nothing i can not afford to loose, stays in my car!! Fuck that!!! |

If we are dishing out advise on hindsight, I'd say don't leave the window open for starters. But I guess he probably realises that now. |

same here or I park where I can see the car sitting at the table or I go somewhere else... you learn that skill from ridding Harley's for 20+ years. gotta say though Dave, I might have left my gear sitting in the car in the driveway at HOME for a few at home.... where I live now. no issues at all... |

we once had a big van full of audio equipment stolen - about $50k worth in total. 2 weeks later they found the empty van right next to a police station. but as far as i remember insurance paid most of it |
Totally fucking lame, dude. Sorry to hear this.
|
ouch, that sucks, any chance insurance will pay for it?

I have already started ordering new gear this isn't gonna hold me back I have lots of loyal clients and tons of shoots right now so things are looking up.

That suck but look on the bright side they didn't steal your car. I'm sooooo bad for not locking my car but where I live I think no one locks up.

Robber Probably did it to feed an addiction?
|
Hope your insurance covers it. Cops in my town are so lazy that they won't come to the scene of the crime to make a report. Good luck on the cops getting it back.
|
What a nightmare, hope it's covered mate. May porn be with you.
|
Hope your insurance doesn't come back with 'pre-existing conditions'
