I hate to hear this. Donnie was a good kid, who just got caught by illness.

Do they mean monetary contributions? Is that quite common in the US?

That is how I read it, and if it is common, I have never seen it before. What is common is something like "in lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society".

Wow. Donnie was a sweetheart but thought he had control of his addictions, when it was obvious to everyone else that it was the other way around. We spoke recently, and he was excited about finally being on the right track where things were looking up for him and he was no longer on the drugs.

I hope he finally finds peace and serenity.

rhon23 04-11-2011 02:43 PM

I just talked to him recently. D will be missed! RIP

No it's not. Usually only see it when they have a young child and it's something about setting up a college fund for the kid. But he seemed to imply from his posts that his family had some major issues.

R.I.P man. Seem's I'll be heading that way soon as well.

I'm very sad after hearing this news.. :( Donnie worked for me when he first started in the adult business. I remember talking with him many times and his energy/enthusiasm is what I will always remember. I have read some negative comments about him here and while he wasn't perfect ( who here is perfect) I believe he was a good person. He made me laugh on a daily basis, thats for sure. RIP Donnie.

There is only 1 bad thing I must say about the adult industry....seriously only #1.

We've all been to dozens (if not 100+ industry parties) & we see the people who obviously can't handle their booze (and other substances)....yet it seems to be encouraged, especially with the younger crowd.

I for one will be taking a stance on alchohol (especially drug use) at any future get-togethers. If I find someone is getting out of control, I will try my best to take them back to my hotel room & discuss business (have some coffee) etc.

I will no longer be a part of the problem. Don't get me wrong....I am by no means a rat...& I am not anti alcohol or drug (pot doesn't even count imo). I'm just now a firm believer that all things should be done in moderation! However if i see someone completely off the rails at a show, I do believe I will pull them aside & at least tell them about guys like Big_D....especially the new guys, who have no idea what their in for.

With new $ & fame....success....comes huge temptations to fuck up your life. Quite a few of us have done it at least once since joining the biz. Very few of us however have totally quit them all (such as myself, thank god).

By just altering the perception of "the lifestyle" for 1 person....We can all make a huge difference & make sure we keep our friends/clients etc. Along for a very long time! :thumbsup:thumbsup

This is sad! I never met him but always enjoyed chatting with him on ICQ these past 4 years. Way too young to go. R.I.P. Big_D

Mike Honcho 04-20-2011 10:03 PM

Met him at Internext Miami, was a cool guy, but you could tell his end would be a short one by the way he partied.

R.I.P

We both know several dozen people that partied just as hard as him @ show's. Especially Miami & Vegas. He just didn't stop the partying when he left like most of the rest. :2 cents:

He was pretty legendary for his consumption of party materials however!

michael.kickass 04-21-2011 05:53 AM

Sorry to hear that. RIP Donnie.

Farang 04-21-2011 06:13 AM

I still miss him, I ran into some old archives, and some pictures with him in Craiova/Romania, and suddenly I was feeling sad again. He was a great guy. Soon it will be 5 years that he is gone...
