The reason why more women are wearing the veil in muslim countries is for many reasons.

One reason is that Islam is seen as a defence of the 3rd world and women choose to wear it out of solidarity.

Men can force woman to wear it.

The irony is that it has been the West that has supported all the fundamentalist movements rather than the secular.

If the US had funded Pakistani education instead of the Pakistani military we would be in a different world.

Well no one can practice religious freedoms in their country, so why should they be able to practice it here?
