Apparently the constitutional rights of illegal criminals who don't pay taxes, traffic drugs, murder innocent people, crash cars without driver's licenses or car insurance and refuse to learn English is a travesty.

Pullover Pablo, he can't speak English, he doesn't have a driver's license, doesn't have insurance, doesn't have registration; yup, asking his immigration status would just be so fucking unspeakable.

Fucking liberal idiots.

National ID card tied into biometrics that can be scanned by any cop without you having to have a card woudl be awesome to eliminate identity theft, illegals, find fugitives etc.

those that are willing to give up freedom for security will receive and deserve neither.

But if your in an area where day laborers hang out looking for work, yeah, they should be able to roll up and ask for ID. It's no different than pulling over a car that's circled the block in an area well known for hookers.

Let's ignore the fact that prostitution should be LEGAL.

If they truly care about stopping the problem, they should setup a sting for the people doing the illegal hiring. Surely they can do that right now.. Are they? Or are they just more interested in blaming foreigners and getting more police rights.

How easy would it be to plant a latino police officer among the laborers and then arrest anyone who hires them?

Nothing is easy when it involves millions of people crossing over illegally every year.

Raids happen every so often but it requires an incredible amount of resources. This law is quite simple, and totally reasonable. Period.

Countless illegals are committing crimes in Arizona and apparently their constitutional rights are important to a bunch of dumbass liberals who don't even live there.

GatorB, you're a joke and don't deserve any response other than stating the obvious, you're a joke. :thumbsup

few weeks ago there was a fight outside a bar I was leaving. I was merely trying to break things up to get out of the way, because it would of become a big brawl.

a cop coming over pulled the guys apart then demanded to see my ID... I told him without a reason I wasnt handing it over... then I believe I tried to spit something out about PA laws and if they have a problem they can call my attorney... which also happens to be my cat, but they dont know that

They do this already in Arizona. I remember right before I moved back to California they had a huge sting against a local company that did contracting for the Air Force base there or something and there was a huge stink about it.

hey i'm with you when it comes to not having to show id's when your not breaking the law or driving but this statement is paranoia with a hint of psychosis...

The media always did make an outsized leap in the Arizona case I thought. Automagically labeling it "profiling" for instance is just wrong. Profiling is when you tell a police chief in a town 90% white to pull over 100 random drivers for seatbelt checks, and they pull over 80 black drivers. THAT is racial profiling. Asking people who are being questioned in regards to a complaint or arrest for their ID's is not racial profiling.

Now like everything it could be abused, such as if cops are seen waiting at the Home Depot and walking down the line of migrant workers hoping to do lawn care that day and demanding ID's. But that is a LEAP of imagination until it happens. Plain and simple. And if it DOES happen? Those cops are out of a job, also pretty plain and simple.

I always advocated letting it play out and the court process is simply part of that for better or for worse.

You know, if the immigration offices were actually staffed and equiped to handle thousands of cases per day, it'd probably be a non-issue anyway. personally, all I care is that if a person wants to make a living here or there, they should become a citizen of here or there, or both.

I would agree, but I've seen too much abuse by the illegal aliens in this country. And having all these sanctuary cities is not helping
