My Pops a few weeks ago took a bad spill down some stairs and split his wig open. Nothing I could have done. He was gone before I got to him. My head is spinning right now. I tell ya, cherish every moment you have with your loved ones. You never know when they will be taken away from you.

Thank you. He was 58 Shap. There is a chance that he had a heart attack and fell. He had a bad heart. It doesn't matter now because he's gone. Either way he didn't feel a thing. I was by his side in a matter of seconds and there was no heart beat there.Comment

My father died of a heart attack at home. My brothers and sister and I did CPR for 12 min waiting on rescue. ( Lived in a Rural area ) I was 15.

I attempted to give CPR to my dad when he passed, so was right there looking him in the eyes when the lights went out. At first it will almost drive you crazy that every time you close your eyes you see that same last tragic image - though you will never entirely forget it, it does get better with time. Revel in the time you got to spend together - share your favorite stories of him with family and friends. On particularly dark days to come, remembering how other people thought of him will be a lifeline.

My condolences to you and your family... I lost my father too in a sudden loss 6 months ago. It's really hard to take in, there are days I still want to pick up the phone to call tell tell him I love him or something exciting and it hits me he is gone and I can't call...

58 is way too young. But my dad is 83 (in very good shape though) and if something like this were to happen to him I'd be crushed. At 58 you should have had your dad around for another 30-odd years.
