sucks for anyone in the US going to Europe on vacation. I was just in Italy over a month ago and was about $1.35 US = ?1 Euro

Not really most of europe currencies are almost pegged to EUR and changes very little against EUR compared to change versus dollar.

Well i track currency values for last two years so dont know how was before.But i do know before one year 1 USD was 21 CZK while EUR was 25 CZK and something little,that was almost same.

if you accept that the "historical value" of the euro is $1.42, although the euro started at $1 = ?1 and you ignore the value of the European currencies that got replaced by the euro
also the Canadian dollar and almost every other currency in the world shows that the dollar has crashed in value ever since the Bush madness begun

I've had to exchange dollars for euros & czk for longer and let me tell you I used to get (much) more

yap, it should get worse before it gets better though, usa printing a ton of money that's not helping
