I don't get it, was the promise to pull troops from Iraq for peace or to supply troops for other wars? ( Police Actions )

I stated that the USA, that said they would not get involved... , are now escalating the intervention. I also point out the ridicule of the resolution of `no-fly zone ` ( never saw tanks fly ... ). Now, by saying the USA, it does not mean `alone `... If I say I am sleeping, it does not mean that I am sleeping alone.. it just means that I am sleeping. The USA are escalating ... that is non arguable ... We now have the confirmation that there is no difference between Bush and Obama ... :2 cents: |

My big problem here is why are are in Libya at all. If forty thousand people in northern California suddenly rose up, took up arms, and removed local law enforcement in an attempt to create a new goverment... Wouldn't they be criminals, not "rebels"? The fine line of defining what a rebel is depends on what side your on. We either need to go all in or nothing. This "limited military campaign" never works. Just say that we need to remove Qaddafi because he's killing his citizens, move in, and that's that already. |
i was watching modern marvel B2 bomber episode and one of the military historians on there said something i liked a lot.
he said "we spend all this money on these cool weapons, so we are going to use them." |

The American Revolution was against despotic monarchies not against a government of the people for the people. It is sad that the old regimes of europe serve their people better than the democratic US. You have to take back your government back from the rich. |

Libya
Since my uncle worked there for many years and there are many students from Libya in my country, I can say only few things that people are "experiencing under" Gaddafi:
1. Free health insurance 2. Free education 3. Mortgage without interest 4. When you get married, you will get apartment or house from a state 5. During period of studying, students are getting average salary that they will have once they finish university (in their area of expertise) 6. If they don't find job after university, country will pay salary until they do so 7. Car can be bought on factory price 8. 25 percent of people is highly educated 9. Libya don't have debt! (zero) 10.If you are studiyng in foreign country, you will get monthly around 2k Euros, together with paid expenses for school. 11. Foreigners mostly do hard and dirty works and that's reason why there are so many of them there. 12. Dozen more small things that are making life easy. Should I tell more..? |
...you forgot one of the most important things - Gaddafi built the Nubian Sandstone Aquifer which provides his people with the most precious commodity in this part of the world - fresh drinking water. Water there is more valued than gasoline. People can live without gas, but not without water. The Great Man-Made River Project was built with zero assistance from foreign monetary funds or world bank so it was built without enslaving the people of Libya through foreign debt. That's why they (French, Americans, etc.) don't like him and need him replaced with someone who does as he's told.

Wow...I was listening to the news on the radio an hour ago in my car.
They announced that they are considering using our drone planes in Libya. A spokesman for the military said that yes, sometimes the drones make mistakes...but the people there have told him that mistakes by the drones are a price they are willing to pay to get rid of Gaddafi! WTF???? So "the people" there think it's okay for us to "make mistakes" and kill innocent people occasionally as long it gets rid of him? What a crock of shit. |
