I think if you animated or photochopped the fight video so BOTH GUYS LOOKED THE SAME SIZE, the fight was pretty fair, gotta agree with Danza on that, it wasn't that one sided.
I mean if you watched the same video, and CGI Danza as Larry and Larry as Danza everyone would be saying Danza was winning, just your perception because Larry was a muscly dude. But most black belts are pretty lean and a lot faster. Looked like more than 15lbs difference too so doesn't mean anything really. |
Why can't you go lightweight? Dynamo has a great diet for ya!

Kick some ass for me

No explanation dude. Good job, mad respect.:thumbsup

Belt is only politics at the Brown and black level and nobody here will ever truly understand that as I do. There is also more to being a Black belt than the belt and tapping everyone out. It has a lot to do with what kind of person you are in and outside of Jui-jitsu class. I never understood that until I got the Black. That day and weeks before I got my black it all stated to make sense. And that was 10 years ago. Big talkers and tough guys never make it past Purple. We have a saying at Machado Jui-jitsu; "you need to be the nail before you can ever be the Hammer". Think of it like this, I do not know Danza on the personal level or ever hung out with him, but there is one thing I can stake my children's life on; and that is that I have taped out way more times than Danza ever has. Think about that one. Great Job, Danza, once again, much respect for everything you have accomplished in your MMA career and good luck in the future.:thumbsup |
I hope your next fight goes better man!

if not for that bullshit disqualification, Mir would have destroyed you.
you've been lucky last 2 fights. but dont do it next time. just quit - you are not cut out for MMA. |
Well you summed it up better than any non-fighter possibly could, but to my perspective, watching the clip, you seemed to be more in control and it looked like a desperation move to try and get that knee through to your chest. He seemed to be getting tired, and his confidence changed drastically after you recovered so quickly off the ground; I bet size-wise he figured you would be gone in under a minute; so, he over-committed and expended energy too quickly, then realized you would be there for a couple more rounds and it shook his confidence and led to mistakes.
Just my opinion. Kudos for the discipline to do it regardless of wins, losses, or draws and DQs. |

When you get a chance, I'd like to see your MMA fight videos. |
Looks like your putting on some condition man, props for all the hard work and hope the next fight goes more to plan
|
no shame in that fight man. you had the guts to step in there and even though you got your shit pushed in at least you tried and most here never will.
what your background training? who do you have training under and at what belts or levels? |
fitty fights
|
Danza, keep in mind if you were Sugar Ray Leonard and just beat Marvin Hagler half the people here would be calling you a pussy and saying you didn't really win.
|
Kudos Danza, :thumbsup
No shame in that fight at all. |
Hey Danza,
You got balls...keep up the good hard work:thumbsup |
It's really disgusting that the announcers seemed to be implying that you might have been faking. I've been hit with a thigh in that same fashion, and although knees to the head are allowed for us, it's NOT something you just shrug off.
My fight at the end of the month for the heavyweight belt is against a much bigger guy, and my team plans to employ a similar strategy of me wearing him down. We're going five 3-minute rounds, so I have a little more time to work with there. Awesome job, can't wait to see your next one. |

Not a good fight for the fans obviously, not worthy of a main event but like the commentator said, stuff like that does happen.
The fight didn't go on long enough for anyone to know who would have won if the nee/thigh to the face or how ever you see it didn't happen. This vid is hilarious considering what happened in his fight with chris. Quote:

How much does Mir weight?

Hey Danza,
You were fine. You were the athlete that got in the ring. Don't listen to the bullshit. Keep it up and have some fun with it. I'm on my way to watch a match in Newbury Park tomorrow. I hope it's a good one. I wish I was in shape enough to do this myself. I find myself too winded after just one round. It's hell getting old. LOL |
