I will watch almost any documentary about WWII, especially while burning a fat joint on a cold Sunday afternoon. That's what I call a good time.

Have seen the first 5 episodes now - entertaining, but damn those guys are a bunch of morons.

The fat guy who runs the place with his father is a lazy fuck.
The father is a fucking freak.. looks and sounds like some guy taken out of an old Disney movie or something.
The guy with the long beard should have his ass handed to him for the way he talked to his way.. a wonder she didn't leave him yet.

I love the mechanic though - a really nice guy who sacrifices himself way too much for this.

Me as well, except for the joint part.. WWII, evil or not, is so very interesting.

I like the new show Deception that started last night and of course I watch all the others listed. Some of these shows are definitely scripted if you read some of the blogs from the stars in it especially DC, this season is not the best one but its hard to be the same show after losing some of the important people.
Here is a short list:
Deadliest Catch
Swords
Swamp People
Ice Road Truckers
Pawn Stars
American Pickers
Dual Survival
Most any show on NatGeo or NatGeoWild
Dog Bounty Hunter

I liked Life After People, personally.

im a fan of the groups that go out and hunt ghosts. I used to like ghost adventures but its getting a bit....redundant. Fact or Faked was pretty good the couple times i watched it

there is really good documentary series called The Office. the have cameras set up all inside an actual paper sales company and film the goings on. surprisingly these everyday people are very funny in their jobs.

those silly americans make for some good tv documentaries.

It's all faked, well most of it. My parents owned a pawn shop in LA and the business isn't run like they portray it. 99% of the items you see are herdly likely to go into their shop, they pass them up the chain to areas that pay for good antiques and Objets d′art.

A lot of the shows listed here are Reality shows, like Pawn Stars. Documentaries attempt to tell you the truth or a version of it.

My favorite are the History ones, from the year dot to 20th Century, and Religious ones where they expose it all for the scam it is.

I agree about Survivorman. If you are into that, then you should get on Youtube and check out a few things. First, you can see the originally aired Canadian versions which have slightly more footage for each episode. Also, check out Les Strouds original actual documentary called Snowshoes and Solitude where he and his wife lived a while in the wild with mostly stone age tools.

Also, you've got to search for Ray Mears on youtube and watch his series of bushcraft and survival skills. Just great stuff if you like Survivorman type things. Very documentary-ish.

Ice Road Truckers...new season starts Sunday...there is a new chick Maya Seiber who has what appears to be a double D cup :thumbsup

Predator Raw -- the behind the scenes of "To Catch a Predator." Some of those guys are ridiculous, all of them pathetic.

fuzebox 06-02-2011 02:08 PM

I just found Ancient Aliens on Netflix and have been enjoying it.

Al Jazeera has this series about the most dangerous jobs in the world called "Risking It All." The river kids in Brazil was a sad one, and the zip lines in Bolivia was amazing. Check it out. No scripts with these "characters."

There's an American ripoff of Les Stroud's Survivorman? That's it. I'm going back to bed. This day has been bad enough.

The first 48 was a great show, but I just refuse to watch anymore. So tired of fools throwing their lives away because they're too stupid to shut the fuck up and ask for an attorney. Or the morons who think they can talk their way out of a police murder interrogation.

new episode 2 nite :) i watched a episode in vegas and didnt know it was the first 48.

MOST of the shows listed here would actually fall under "Reality Shows" BUT since they come on "respected" networks most ppl think of them as docu's

With that out of the way lol here's my list of DVR shows...

Deadliest Catch (RIP Phil)
American Pickers
Pawn Stars
Auction Hunters
Auction Kings
Pawn Queens
Histories Mysteries
Histories of the underground (or whatever it's called)
Hoarders
I almost got away with it
Extreme Coupons (or couponing)
Swamp People (is this the one where they hunt gators? if so THIS!!!)
Gangland
Life after people

_____________ (show about Egypt and this little short guy who does all the digs, he's batshit crazy, forget the name of the show and have not seen it in almost a year now)

I think that about covers it lol
