Someone that appears in the movies is just an actor or actress.

After they have gained critical acclaim and have become famous for their work they become a move star. The star part means one that shines above the others which are still just actors and actresses.

Take that and apply it to the adult industry and you have actors and actress that appear in adult films and those that shine above the rest, the ones that are famous and recognizable are stars and in this case Porn Stars.

Calling anyone that appears in an adult film a porn star is just as stupid as calling any girl that models a Supermodel.

Agreed, not by making one movie or a few amateur porn movies, would you be a pornstar, & the ability to shine above others is most definatly needed to be a pornstar.
