Holy fuck. $2800+ for an iMac? That's downright stupid. You can build a really nice PC for half that.

Yeah but it would be a PC running Winblows, not a Mac. It is worth the extra money for a Mac running OSX.

HOLY SHIT does that laptop look ugly. It's like they got a team and figured, "hey let's build some ugly POS. lets bring in our designers who are actually linux nerdboys and build something so monumentally ugly that it'll destroy worlds. and GET THIS, it'll have an i7 and will be cheaper than a macbook"

Are you stuck in the 80s?

Zorgman 06-05-2011 10:39 PM

I agree. It's a stealth laptop. Ugly as fuck.

As an owner of both PC and Mac systems I can say without reservation that your statement is patently false. I guess it's true what they say about a fool and his money.

candyflip 06-06-2011 06:05 AM

The newest Mac mouse doesn't have any buttons, but is multi touch and actually pretty nice.

I can state as a FACT that posting personal opinion on something as FACT is fucking retarded.

Here's a fact: You're a boorish, jack-toothed limey.

A Mac is just an expensive PC with a different OS.

Yup. And a Lambo is just an expensive car with a different engine.

Really, why do you all make the SAME THREAD EVERY WEEK saying macs suck?

Redrob 06-06-2011 07:26 AM

Unlike the Lambo which doesn't have a Volkwagen engine, the Mac has a Intel chip engine...same as many PCs as I recall.

i am replacing my $4k Macbook Pro with a $1k Toshiba right now. i've been running the Macbook on Win 7 anyways, but too many things do not work properly even this way and now the backlight of the super duper screen is failing after 3 years.
Would never buy a Mac again, at least not while working in a Windows network and relying on data for my business that i cannot transfer to Mac OS because of non-existing programs.

might be something different if someone starts from the scratch, for me it didn't work

adultzone 06-06-2011 07:53 AM

I can get a nice pc with 500 quad core already

fris 06-06-2011 10:17 AM

the imac 27" i7 comes out to almost $4600 with all the addons.

Ryan_AFF 06-06-2011 11:22 AM

I've got a 27" iMac and I have no regrets. I also have a 2007 MacBook Pro that is somehow still in mint condition. I only use it for when I'm away...
