    Nostalgia porn ---Super 8

    I saw Super 8 in IMAX tonight. If you grew up in the 80's like I did, enjoying experiences like seeing Poltergeist or ET, then you have to see this movie. Every single thing about it was like watching a late 70's/early 80's Steven Spielberg movie.

    The music, the camera angles, the action. If you're not a total cynic, you'll enjoy the hell out of it.

      Can't wait to see this. I didn't even know it was coming out so soon, just saw the previews for it before Hangover 2..

              just got home from watching it, also in IMAX. Worth every penny and then some. It was just like going back in time. I wanna know where they put all those beautiful cars when they were done making the movie.

                          I thought the same thing. It was like a mashup of those movies, with the greatest, most over the top train crash in movie history. It's also the only movie I've seen in a long time where we get to see kids just being kids.

                                          Good flick. Quite nostalgic. Not the best thing in 2011, but certainly in the top 10 for period films done right.

                                              I actually liked the kids in the movie more than i did the movie and the monster. Reminded me of a goonies ish type of feeling.
