If governments can press the public to regulated channels on the internet I am pretty sure that would impress even god himself. It's just simply to much noise and these funny little groups are a wasted effort.

Making new laws regarding content is the only weak spot the internet faces but even then makes no difference. The internet is still the largest distributor of Kiddie Porn, Drugs, Fake drugs, prostitution, gambling, terrorism and the black markets. If governments have not been able to halt these activities online there is no possible future they ever will.
