Just don't take it over any jumps higher than 5 feet. Buddy did that and upon landing a fuel line came loose somewhere or broke and it burned to the ground.

Very nice! I have an E55amg and recently I did a drive of about 200 miles with a nice tailwind averaging about 80mph and got the best mileage to date. 22.9mpg. All freeway,which was nearly deserted. :)

Thanks. Love the E55 AMG too. The first real competitor to the M5 in the looks / performance department as far as I'm concerned.

The best I've been able to do so far is 21.1mpg on a 2 hour drive. No matter how hard I tried it wouldn't budge past that :1orglaugh

The Panamera is my latest. Got it late last year. It was going to be the new daily driver,but I kept the E55 and still prefer it. In hindsight,the Panamera just is too large of a car for city driving. It's fun on the road though.

Wow, thats the first I've heard of that happening. The worst damage I've heard of until now is a few guys did a Vegas - Barstow run a few weeks ago and one of them broke his front end and had to be towed out of the desert and 5 other guys bent thier frames - on the same 1 foot high boulder - hitting it at 70mph, because they werent smart enough to pre-run the route and mark the hazard.

It's caused by a weakened frame to support more sturdy bumpstops. It's a design flaw and costs less than 1000 dollars (not covered by warranty) to straighten the frame out by Ford.

I've actually been reading a bit about it, that particular run you're talking about had 14 trucks, 10 of them had the same damage.

There's a video on that page, if I were a Ford or SVT rep, I wouldn't warranty that either. The guy claimed he was doing 125 in a production truck, in the desert, over major hazards. You can only do so much with something from the factory, and driving it like a real Baja truck (Even though Ford claims you could be able to) isn't a good idea as it sits from the factory unless you want to void your warranty.

Yeah those idiots act like they are in a $100k trophy truck built to take stuff like that.

The article says the Raptors are $42k but I dont know where you get one that cheap, mine is fully loaded with the 6.2L and it was $52k. Its a lot of fun offroad and it will do things normal trucks wont, but you cant treat it like its built for a professional driver to run the Baja 1000 with.

I was one of the first with a G35 coupe in the states. Special ordered mine. Brilliant Silver. I used to have people questioning me about it all the time. Amazing looking car. Kept it for 6+ years before buying the CLS63.

It maintained crazy value throughout ownership and besides 2 problems with the window switch and the BOSE radio the thing never gave me problems. I actually miss it. Especially when I'm at the gas station every other day.

Edit: I did have my clear corners ripped off on 2 separate occasions. With the second needing a whole wiring harness replacement. And I did have my OEM 18's (using them with winter tires at the time) stolen off of the car - they left it on bricks. Also had an attempt on my Work Varianza 20x9, 20x11. The car attracts the wrong kind of attention.

My GTI that I've had since Christmas. Really fun little car to throw around and love the turbo farts.
