I don't fuck with semi trucks anymore, too expensive to maintain and too many regulations. I own a few cargo vans and a few Dodge Sprinter vans, which can hold around 5000 pounds of freight and get 20 MPG (they have diesel engines made by Mercedes Benz). With the vans the drivers don't have to keep logs so they aren't DOT regulated and can drive as many miles in a day that they can handle. I usually spend my time in the office on the load boards booking runs for my drivers, but finding good expedite drivers is a bitch so more often than not I end up on the road myself. I can't begin to tell you how much I love it though. I made my living off porn for the majority of my adult life, but it's refreshing to know that I can succeed in something else.

It's funny, but in the last few years I fell in love with some towns that I never would have bothered visiting before. There are parts of Alabama that I love, and I never would have step foot in them if not for my expedite business. The same with Texas, there is so much freight going through the border towns that Texas is like my second home, but I love El Paso, Del Rio, Eagle Pass, etc...

I really envy you in how you see the nation. I love to dream about towns cause I havent really traveled much.

Remember the show City Confidential when they start it would have this little flavor of the city or town and it was so relaxing. Traveling is very relaxing in theory. In reality with all the trafffic now days prob not as much. :)

But congratz you are a real businessman. That is real big business and you got to see some stuff. Worse thing is to be in a factory putting the nut on the bolt for 30 years. Im prob not much better than a "nutfitter" :) except I dont have a boss which is a biggee. :)

After the evening at the rodeo we decided to check out Cody's Old Trail Town which is a replica of how Cody, WY looked back in the late 1800's. Pretty cool stuff. As we left town we came across Buffalo Bill Dam, so had to stop there. All these pics can be found at http://www.gotbaddog.com/cody-and-the-buffalo-bill-dam/ . . . . next stop, Yellowstone!

A few samples from the Cody area.

After leaving the Buffalo Bill Dam we soon approached the east entrance to Yellowstone. There are over 300 miles of road and I would guess that we did about a third of it. I need to go back when I can spend more time. You can find all the Yellowstone photos at http://www.gotbaddog.com/yellowstone-national-park/

Here are a few samples.

After leaving Yellowstone we entered Grand Teton National Park. After a brief visit there I know I want to come back and do more exploring. I think it was even better than Yellowstone.

You can find all the Teton photos at http://www.gotbaddog.com/photos-from...national-park/
