ok this is what's wrong with hollywood... those are absolutely fictitious stories and characters, they just make them sound like they really happened by showing dates of deaths and having a text prologue at the beginning...

apparently so! :)

check out band of brothers... I was impressed when I watched it, but when i did some further reading on the characters and their books I found out that it is almost a perfect rendition of what actually happened, pretty much word for word... which makes this series even better and truly amazing.

One that hasn't been mentioned and my ultimate all time favorite:

"Dog Day Afternoon" w. Al Pacino




No screenwriter could come up with such a story to sound real and no other director than Sidney Lumet could make it into a more memorable movie.

the mind blowing thing about this film is the motivation behind the heist! wasn't expecting that...........
