They have been saying it's improving for how long, how much would the unemployment rate have to improve so make Barry look good?

I guess it depends on the state. I know where I live it is easy to get food assistance from food banks and stuff like that, but getting housing assistance and welfare checks are not easy unless they have a kid that is an american citizen. California is likely a very different story.

Take a look at the USD against all the major currencies right now, money is flooding back as the big end of town still sees US Treasury Bond as a safe place to park money with the world markets in the mess they are.

Yes, yes,and yes.
S&P ratings in the big scheme of things mean very little to the general public. Sure, the money gamers are milking it. US Treasury Bonds keep investors sound to this day.

1) eliminate resource sucking illegals and their anchor babies.
[ 1 anchor baby starts a never ending chain of resource sucking legal offspring ]

2) eliminate the Rep created big biz tax breaks and subsidies and bring back the outsourced jobs

3) eliminate the Rep created tax gimmicks & loopholes

4) hold the big bank decision makers and the S&P decision makers responsible on a person-by-person basis for their decisions. (S&P endorsed and maintained the AAA credit rating for these theives)

5) build and maintain public gallows on the front lawn of the Whitehouse to be used by the popular vote and wishes of the citizens of the United States. Fuck Gallup polls, fuck ABC polls, listen to the people.

When you have to add "and everyone knows it", you're basically stating that the opposite is true and you're desperately trying to convince yourself.

You can also send a note of thanks to Rep. Barney Frank who insisted that the flimsy government entities which propped up this scam were rock solid.

The current cause? Obama and the 200 big spending Obamas in Congress, who have only stepped on the accelerator towards the cliff of financial doom.

Who will get the blame? Depends who you ask. The left blamed GWB for everything that ever went wrong anywhere in the solar system, but they have played that card so many times that it is worn out.

If Obama gets half the blame he deserves --he will be bounced out on his ass in the next election.

The Looney Left's current whipping boy is the Tea Party.

:thumbsup Right on! You hit it 100% squarely on the head.

That Carter/Clinton "Community Reinvestment Act", IMO, gets most of the blame for our present mess:-(

What are the chances of a double dip recession?

Put another way, who stands to gain the most from the downgrades and increased market instability caused by the S&P downgrades?
The Republicans will gain from the downgrade as big business will be charging more for loans, etc.

You see a Republican leaning S&P has the power to lie and say things are AAA, when they are not, to push through junk bonds, like they did. Then they can say the U.S. is not AAA to drive the price of lending up and/or flex their muscle and show the Republican influence over the economy. Pretty powerful position to be in. Kind of like the Republican based Better Business Bureau , controlling the ratings of small business, and output of small business loans.

It started two years and 8 months ago...which is not enough time to correct the problems that were already present when he became President. In addition a President has little power domestically. It is the Congress that has domestic powers and the Congress has not done anything at all that has improved the problems the U.S. is facing...and in my opinion have made matters worse.

Until partisan politics is not the name of the game being played...there will be a consistent decline in the state of the nation...not improvement...end of story.

So the time that Obama didn't have to deal with Partisan politics, you know when the house and senate and executive branch all came under democrat control means nothing? kinda fucked up perspective if you ask me, they had their chance, they didn't fix the unemployment rate, well, it's fixed as in NOT MOVING.

Blaming the GOP after they couldn't do a fucking thing to improve things is pretty lame, but I could be wrong........................................LMAO
