What we're discussing here is an Arab government which, by definition, precludes any such outcome. The only question is whether the new Libyan regime will be more or less unfriendly than the old one. Personally, I can see that going either way. |

Who is FUNDING those "organized as of late" rebels? Who is providing them ARMS?...That doesn't make me WONDER about shit as I know for a fact it was Obama who is responsible for providing the strategy as he is the current Emperor of this empire. You think France and Italy and NATO are helping just for shits and giggles? Hell no.....They're getting some sort of benefit from this. And PLEASE outline to me how in the holy hell the Republicans can take ANY credit for this shit. |

Good lord, now I see where non-Americans are coming from when they bitch about our arrogance. |

Worrying about "arrogance" has been going on since the beginning of time....that area of the world, especially Syria and Iran (The Parthian Empire) has ALWAYS been of interest....And like any "emperor", Obama needs a great Military victory to add to his resume, and Libya is one of them...It's our DESTINY to fuck with the Middle East. And just like back in rome, there were always others who bitched about their arrogance...That's LIFE! |

Last time America dropped bombs the people who dropped them were taken out also. It was a cluster fuck. I was there.

i'll give credit to Obama for Lybia. Who gives a shit ? doesnt change anything .
In reality it was Hillary Clinton that forced Ombatard to bomb Lybia So 2012 rolls around, election year and the only record Obama can run on is Lybia ? Most succesful food stamp president of all time will run for reelections on his Lybian record ? haha good luck tree huggers |

You don't have to like him or agree with him, but one thing he has done what he promised when it comes to the so called war on terror. |
get in that ass
|
So Lybia will now get asset stripped by the IMF and the people put into poverty and you think this is a good job by Obama?
Anyone who thinks that puppet Obama is any better than puppet Bush is a moron. They are solely there to create profit for the banking industry and wars for the military industrial complex. |

Arm some rebles? just like they funded and armed the very groups they are fighting in afganistan? You know the guys that flew into your trade center? They used to be on Americas pay role. What does the government know about this ragtag bunch of arab yahoo's. They may be wearing baseball caps now but the turbans will come back out when they are not relying on nato. People have short memories. One of the oppositions gripes used to be how gadafi was in bed with the west. Lets have a look at Egypt. The "Arab spring" was welcomed by the U.S but now Isreal (US funded) are now seeing attacks via the Egyptian borders. I hope you have a lot of time on your hands because your call up papers could be posted within the year. I want a better future for my kids? What about you? |

I'm sure they can't contact him in the event of an emergency. So if the man CAN have a vacation, why complain about it? |

Anything else is a distraction. People aren't going to vote for someone because he approved a plan to sneak up on and shoot a terrorist. People don't care about the nuances of Iraq or Afghanistan. Either we are there, or we aren't. Either wars are happening which we are a part of, or we aren't. . |
Also, What victory? Gadafi is still in power (for now) He will go eventually I give you that but when you say Victory does that mean you won? and if so won what?
You will have succeeded in creating another state run by unelected gun toting rebels who you know fuck all about. At least this will keep the US arms trade in business but don't go whining when they're turned against you. |

Some people on here need to go read the book (not the film) Charlie Wilson's war to find out just how much say the president or hillary have on such matters. They are puppets with no power. Thats why the rhetoric changes but the actions dont. Just different puppets but the same puppet masters. |
It is too early to determine whether Obama's strategy in Libya has succeeded. Even if Qaddafi falls, the aftermath and what results will determine how it is viewed by history.

Funny how "talking points" change to fit the current needs of the GOP from election to election depending what they happened to have fucked up on at the time. |

Take out the spaces. Obamas is not doing this for the benefit of the American people or the Libyans. So whatever the outcome it is not good for the American people who will be picking up the bill. |

Obama was probably not even born when the U.S. signed it's treaty with Isreal...Yet now he's in office he's enforcing it....So does he get credit for the treaty in the first place? Hell no. Get it straight. |
