seeric does, and the thought never crosses your collective minds?

So glad that I don't care what "idiots" think either way. :thumbsup

The big double standard here seems to be that if google treats this extention so differently than the other extentions that have been released in the past the question is why is google accepting this extention so quickly while basically rejecting all other new tlds.

Exactly what I was thinking.

Bladewire 08-31-2011 07:33 PM

Seems like a manipulation of the market to create perceived added value to the .xxx extension.

Two weeks after Ifriends.xxx launches it magically appears as the #1 result with no explanation

On a Wednesday night to build the buzz Thursday & Friday :winkwink:

SmokeyTheBear 08-31-2011 08:52 PM

no mystery.. they added it as default domain in gwt

baddog 08-31-2011 09:02 PM

I wonder what the incentive was for ifriends.

JohnRingo 08-31-2011 09:15 PM

If u are logged into your google account it is probably giving only u that result.

Just speculating here, but Free.xxx has iFriends written all over it. Maybe they got Free.xxx in the Founders Program as part of the deal.

alias 08-31-2011 09:19 PM

Is this like cum swapping?

Solid theory. All these sell-out deals make it hard to have confidence in .xxx unless you are feeding from the favored tit. :2 cents:

Likely.

None of the other .xxx domains that are live are behaving as the ifriends one. Also, just as chance the guy who writes on Domain Incite has ties to Stuart and ICM so I take everything I read there as face value. I'd recommend everyone else does the same.

I'm just looking for proactive discussion here really. Interesting times we're all dealing with.

Thanks.

alias 08-31-2011 09:35 PM

Might be worth experimenting on a domain you don't care about, change the gwt settings to a dot.whatever and observe the resulting serps.

AdultKing 08-31-2011 09:38 PM

Google "site:.xxx" brings up just a handful of sites, google site ".com" brings up millions.

I believe this is just an artifact of ranking with a substitution of TLD by ifriends and the fact that it's as easy as falling over on ice to rank #1 out of .xxx sites.

vanbest 08-31-2011 11:05 PM

Fuck all the assholes who decide to go with the .xxx domains!!! Everyone who's doing that is nothing but a lousy ass-kisser, a person who complies with everything, anytime! I hope you`ll figure out soon that this is nothing but a way to suck more money from ``honest` adult webmasters... If we, adult webmasters, stick together in these rough times, we can surely make a difference, BAN THE FUCKING .XXX DOMAINS!!! You think that a fucking teenager will stop searching the internet??? No way, porn and sex will always sell, regardless it's .com, .net or any other .fuck. Fuck the asshole who came up with this idea and fuck the ones who complies with it!!!:action-sm:boid:Kissmy:BangBang:

iamtam 08-31-2011 11:13 PM

that would appear to be the site itself that 301'ed.

I just do not understand why they would make .xxx their default.

The Gooner 08-31-2011 11:20 PM

I think it's probably because ifriends.xxx got a lot of press as the "first xxx site".

Also, when checking rankings you absolutely need to add "&pws=0" to the end of the URL to see the results without Google Search Personalization, like so:

(google)/search?q=ifriends&pws=0

(Too new to post a URL so just replace (google) with google dot com, hopefully this doesn't violate any forum rules)

Years ago there was talk about moving all adult sites to their own section away from mainstream part of the web. Maybe this is what they are trying to do in the end by getting all adult sites to have a .xxx TLD

Loki 09-01-2011 03:04 AM

Just curious but has no one seen the ripoff report link result????
http://www.v1rtualdesires.com/why.jpg

fwiw, if I was a surfer and typed ifriends into google and saw THAT link I'd be clicking that over .com or .xxx anyday

thats frank shilling. he made a deal with lawley to buy a number of single word generic .xxx domains before the tld was even approved by icann. he apparently shelled out 7 figures for them.

Klen 09-01-2011 08:26 AM

Nothing to worry here, ifriends is not real keyword, this would be like ranking with blackcrayon.xxx over blackcrayon.com.Another factor is domain name,if you have wordonewordtwo domain then you will be probably rank first immediately for combo of that words after registration unless there is really nasty competition or just one keyword.I ranked first for one twowords keyword with 30 mil competition that way. Now,if domain ifriends.xxx appear ranking for some other keyword beside ifriends, then that could be disturbing sign.

pornguy 09-01-2011 08:36 AM

I get .com and then .xxx number 2.

thanks for the retarded post.

JamesGw 09-01-2011 08:52 AM

It's likely a GWT thing as everyone else has said. Google has specifically stated several times that domain extensions do not affect search.

Except co.cc, but that's actually a whole domain that gave people subdomains so w/e.

My guess is that ICM needs to show someone that there is industry support.

"Oh look, this big cam company supports it and uses it. It must be awesome and desired."

seeric 09-01-2011 12:04 PM

I can only find the following .xxx domains indexed by Google.

Asian.xxx
About.xxx
Auctions.xxx
Anywhere.xxx
Casting.xxx
Clickcash.xxx
Desi.xxx
Dialapornstar.xxx
Free.xxx
Hot.xxx
Icm.xxx
Ifriends.xxx
Live.xxx
Masala.xxx
Orgasms.xxx
Sexo.xxx
Ukpornstars.xxx
Webcam.xxx

All I see is some euros, NAMedia, and ClickCash so far as in the Founders Program.

There are certainly others, but they have not yet indexed, or are blocked for now.
