Here in the UK we pay NI which is national insurance, paying for healthcare. You can still pay for private health insurance but lots do not.
In the states, as they do not take NI from you, & private medical care is needed, then this is how it is.... Nothing wrong with paying for medical insurance :2 cents:

Maybe your taxes are a lot less than 20% & the rest over here :winkwink:

gleem 09-13-2011 01:36 PM

so stupid, like 2 kids in the crowd yelled "yeah" for all you know it was the two liberals in the house there to heckle people.

Tax isn't National Insurance, you do understand that, right?

Bless you for trying to join in a grown up conversation though.

He never accepted Wolfs premise and instead just played politics and said whatever he wanted. Worthless in or out of context like all of them are. Congrats Obama on 4 more years.

When did anyone mention tax is the same as NI? NI pays for medical care in the UK... We pay higher taxes in the UK also.... Living in the US, if you want medical care, get some private cover, as the taxes are not so high & in the US, there is no NI.

Is that wrote clear enough for you.... :321GFY

MaDalton 09-13-2011 02:06 PM

i think there should be a mandatory basic health insurance for cases like this - like in 99.9% of the civilized countries - just not in the US

Does that keep you from doing what you think is right?

LC777_BCM 09-13-2011 02:15 PM

Health insurance should be affordable. And don't even get me started on worthless dental insurance. It's fine for a cavity and that's about it.

So, you think it is cool to just let someone die because they have no insurance?

True -- I did the sums on dental versus paying cash and it's cheaper to pay cash if you brush every day. I recently had an old filling replaced - my dentist knocks off 15% if you pay cash so out the door it was like $200 or so.

I'm not sure why the dental field hasn't suffered the massive price inflation of other medical. Maybe because at the end of the day teeth are just teeth?

Libertarians are fucking idiots. Worse than Communists. They have all these theories that could only ever even remotely have any chance of working in an absolutely ideal world. Unlike Communism though, which in theory at least has its heart in the right place, Libertarianism is pure callousness and selfishness.

Unfortunately the internet is littered, like dog turds, with these Libertarian imbeciles, sucking the cock of batshit crazy novelist Ayn Rand and talking about this (thankfully) total no-hoper as Presidential material. Same idiotic shit happened before the last election and will happen again next time, if he hasn't croaked it by then.

All you need to know about Ron Paul is, like the worst kind political fundamentalist crank, he is such a crackpot extremist he even named his own son after his political hero. How anyone can take someone like that seriously, I don't know.

Ron Paul is probably one of the few people that I have almost nothing in common with but still respect.

You can't deny the guy has a logical and consistent belief system and acts according to it, unlike about 99.9% of other politicians.

DamianJ 09-13-2011 03:50 PM

I don't think having a consistent belief system is enough to elevate one from cuntdom.

Enough. Or more than enough. I take it you're one of the fans of the batshit crazy novelist I was talking about?

Edit: and if you want 'logical and consistent' (aka inflexible and unprepared to adapt), have a computer as President. A lot of tech nuts like Rand, so they'd probably go for that stupid idea too.

porno jew 09-13-2011 04:33 PM

to be inflexible in a constantly shifting and mutating world is a sign of weakness and insanity than anything to be admired.

if you know any kooks irl you will see them continually fail as they try and use their inflexible worldview in every situation.

This says to me loyal family man.... You do not have children? Have you not heard of people being named after their parents heros?

Yeah. It means their parents are self-absorbed fuckstains who care more about their own interests than their own children. You have a hero? Get a tattoo. Where's Rand Paul's "freedom" and "liberty" not to be named after someone his dad just happens to have a hard on for?

Exactly, this is what kids do. I don't give a shit about people either, if you have a fulltime job, go get a insurance plan. If you don't want it even though you can afford it, your choice, fine, but don't ask me to pay for it and make it like I have no choice now.

I would tell the ER's to fix em up and send the bill to every single family member and make em all pay for bringing up suck an idiot for a kid. :thumbsup

Wow! Um...watch the full clip and also note where he says that before govt intervention sick people were never turned away. In other words, he would not let someone die, it's up to them to find a way to pay for it. Big difference people, pull your heads out of your asses and do the proper research before you fall for propagandizing.

Um, YOU should just read the original post.

Pull your head out of your own ass before you open it and let words shit out of it.

Since your a moron and need someone to explain it to ya...and since you did not specify or quote anyone's comment, I'm going to assume your responding to the original poster. Not once did he mention that Ron Paul would prefer someone to just die. At the end of that clip, you do hear people shouting that they would prefer the hypothetical man to die.

If you argue with that, then your even more retarded then I originally thought you were.

astronaut x 09-13-2011 08:10 PM

yes, it is sick and sad.

GatorB 09-13-2011 08:10 PM

See this is the stupidity and hypocrisy of the GOP. OK they bash "obamacare" for forcing people to get insurance, but if someone doesn't have insurance their attitude is "fuck 'em". Well if that dude had to buy insurance he'd be paying for his care wouldn't he? Oh and by the way the whole mandatory insurance thing was McCain's idea to begin with.

ColBigBalls 09-13-2011 10:28 PM

Surprised? US news organizations have turned news reporting into a high school sporting event heckle session. There is no debate, no real discussion just name calling and finger pointing. I hear no real new ideas or forward motion plans to fix a country that is facing major financial and social issues.

It?s no surprise to hear reactions like this when you look at Bill O'Riley and the plethora of news shows in that class and there reporting styles, who breed single, close minded narrow view mentalities.

Nothing wrong with those names, I think they are both refreshing modern names.
I went for more traditional names for my 3 lads, they are not the usual mark, jack john, jim, bob, bill, ben.... (Not that there is anything wrong with these types of names) however, They are still original.

Maybe those negative to the freedom speech are the losers? To be free & to be a winner.... :2 cents:
