By the way about this step:
---- The Application Process During Sunrise AT, AD and Landrush will be: 1. The applicant registers domain(s) with Network Solutions and attests that he/she is a member of the Sponsored Community 2. Network Solutions submits the application(s) to the Registry 3. ICM Registry emails the applicant a link to authenticate on the ICM website within 24 hours of submission ---- I registered those 2 domains at netsol a week ago but did not received ICM registry email yet (that I know of), I wonder if anyone received it? Is it just me or they are late in sending? That mail should be to join International Foundation for Online Responsibility (IFFOR) community of standards and policies - for now seems just about do not put visuals of under 18 years old, and to label the site with an IFFOR approved label (is that just RTA? As ICRA seems deceased: www.icra.org "the ICRA labeling engine has been discontinued."). In old sites I had icra+rta but new ones I put RTA only as the icra generator is offline. |
Nope!! :pimp

I canīt afford xxx

it's just a massive rip-off imo, i read some stats recently that so far 80% of the pre-registered domains are corporates protecting their trademarks, that's what this is all about. $200+ to register a domain that they will never even use, it's a joke
|
still some companies registering their trademarks ... where have all this drama been when .co, .info and other tlds came out? nobody fucking cared ... now, price is high, everyone cry ... if you have trademark, just fuck it, keep the people develop your domain if someone want to and then take over the domain cause of copyright if you see its needed, problem gone, same as it works with every other fucking tld ... but i guess i am still missing something here ... :2 cents:
|
I don't think that the price is the biggest issue (which is in my opinion too high) but the big chance to be filtered out where governments will force us (in time) eventually to switch all to .xxx

Granted, if I owned a trademark I wouldn't bother registering names. I'd let some 'tard build the site and get the traffic and then bounce them into court with the intention of seizing the name and suing for damages. Probably cost more than reserving the name though. |

In a year from now everybody will know that xxx stands for porn. So when people look for porn, they think xxx So I think even though some are making big profit from this (as usual), it's going to be worth the investment. Also, the cheapest xxx reseller is based in Holland. The rates of the big domain resellers in the USA are crazy high. I don't know if he can sell to foreigners though. |
