I'm surprised he (she, actually) had an account with us.

It's closed now.

seeric 09-30-2011 11:38 AM

He'll be back up on other accounts in no time. There is always someone willing to take the traffic.

It's nice of every one to kill them.

The thing to keep on and keep doing is submitting DMCA to the file hosts with every share url you can find. They do remove and the do kill accounts. They may make new ones, but just keep in mind its about making the process as tough as possible so they wont keep doing it.

The people who do this stuff are incredibly lazy and they want to make money by doing nothing. If you force them to actually earn the money by keeping the heat on and constantly killing their uploads, some of them leave and go back to McDonalds.

Don't give up.

even more funnier is that porn moguls are behind some of the file locker sites.

Those are the ones that will remove under DMCA.

Most of the ones that put up a fight or try to ignore until you go upstream are the ones who are not.

Yes, they do remove files and they cancel uploaders accounts.

Doesn't atter if they get new accounts of if other take their traffic.

Why do you think so? They're pricey and their reach is limited but they seem to work for those studios that are listed at fscap. At least I do not see their content leaking to major tubes.

Have no idea how they're going to serve such a monstrosity as filesonic is though. They have more files uploaded in a second than all major tubes get in a week, that would require one hell of CPU resources to check DFP for all of them.

Sent a few notices yesterday to some of my primary sponsors whose content was posted there. Hopefully they will DCMA.

Everyone who sees their primary sponsors stuff posted should also notify them with a link to infringement. It can't hurt, and maybe will add additional work for these assholes with more DCMAs to deal with.

no suprise there, kaktuz runs planetsuzy, he always finds a way to cheat

Profits of Doom 09-30-2011 08:27 PM

Posted this in the other thread, but I'll add it here too.

I would keep an eye on the sponsor accounts that were killed. Not accusing anyone of anything, but I can remember when I was heavily involved in anti-piracy that sponsors would kill an account when called on it, only to redirect to another account when the heat was off.

Then there are the sponsors that totally don't give a shit. I can remember going back and forth with Score Cash about sites like http://directbigboobs.net that steal tons of big tit content, including Score Cash's, while flying Score Cash banners all over their sites. I was told in so many words to go fuck myself, which is why for what it's worth I won't promote them anymore. It's pretty tough for a legitimate affiliate to compete with a site like that. No worries, I'm glad to not have to deal with the headaches anymore...

I am new here on GFY. On foogie I have been a lot more active as it is a board geared towards asian content affiliates and program owners but we have hammered away on this over there for quite a while.

DamianJ... your defeatist attitude makes it appear as though you yourself have banged your head against a wall over piracy sites and have caved in. That's too bad, but to suggest to others that it is useless to protect content just because you feel defeated already is a bit irresponsible in my humble opinion.

This is what I did, and I hope it helps all of you other content owners just as much as it has helped me.

Have any of you fellow content owners thought about the location of filesonic? I have... and looked up a few Hong Kong Laws... I also informed all the file lockers during a round of DMCA's that I was aware of the laws in Hong Kong and felt it was appropriate for the Hong Kong police to now step in. Distributing porn is against Hong Kong law.

Because distributing porn is illegal in Hong Kong... I suggest you take a different approach. Start backing up every DMCA with a nice little report to the Hong Kong cyber crimes division like I do. The more content owners harassing the Hong Kong police about all the file lockers located in Hong Kong, the more accountable someone is going to have to be at the end of the day.

Here is the link to get HK police involved...

https://secure1.info.gov.hk/ssl-cgi/...CyberCrime.cgi

How many of you have ever gotten a personal response back from filesonic? I have. :1orglaugh From their alleged "Legal Department"... it was a joke. I could tell that filing a complaint against filesonic with the Hong Kong cyber crimes unit REALLY REALLY upset him. He went as far as threatening to sick the FBI on me... and told me I was now wanted in Hong Kong for filing false police reports. :1orglaugh:1orglaugh The entire letter was a crock of shit full of threats and promises about how willing they are to follow up pursuing my prosecution in Hong Kong. :thumbsup :1orglaugh

The resulting email from filesonic's "legal department" after submitting cyber crime police reports to the Hong Kong police shows me they do very much care about Hong Kong police getting reports about them. I sent out a DMCA to them yesterday... the links were deleted in MINUTES. They know who I am now. Same with ORON, same with wupload... I am not saying I get preferential treatment, but it sure appears as though my emails to them are handled with care.

Let all file lockers that are operating out of Hong Kong know that every time you have to send them a DMCA... a complete description of the content along with copies to all the file lockers' links for your content and their business address will be forwarded onto the police in Hong Kong as well. I also for documentation purposes fill out my DMCA's with descriptions of the content so it is clear the content is porn and CC that on over to the police with my complaint.

In an ideal world you would go above a site operators head to the host and the host would show some responsibility and police what that site is doing... but that doesn't work outside the US, and these file lockers themselves are considered ISP's... so go above their heads... report it to who will give them shit for their activity.

Clearly by reporting to the Hong Kong police what filesonic was doing, I rattled a cage judging by the personal mail sent to me from filesonics's joke of a "legal department". When any alleged legal department goes as far as the anger shown in this email... and with all the threats of sicking the FBI and Hong Kong police back on me... (chuckle...) I tend to think it had an impact. Filesonic, wupload, and oron now delete infringing links for my content outside their normal link deleting days (usually once a week for everyone else with these file locker sites) and my links vanish in minutes to occasionally no more than a couple of hours. (Mysterious, eh?)

Affiliates, don't cry when sales are down because the content you are trying to sell is too readily available on every porn piracy site you know of... DO SOMETHING... inform the content owners. And hey! If a content owner does not want to clean up his own content from all the free sources, DROP HIM. Maybe a dip in sales will make them wake up!

I can speak for my site only, but our sales are pretty fucking good ever since we started aggressively harassing file lockers. But, I do NOT send out DMCA to the image hosts for the samples images posted on these piracy sites... it's free advertising and a source of sales where I pay NO AFFILIATE. :1orglaugh

Affiliates, if one site you promote for does not want to do anything about policing up the content you earn half on for sales... fuck it... move onto to selling content for an alternative site that is aggressively protecting their content and smile for a change. :pimp

And here's a thought... envision a piracy site with no members or guests logged in... after the piracy site earned a reputation for 1,000's of pages full of dead links.

You're right. Distributing hardcore content in HK is against the law.

But Filesonic aren't distributing hardcore content out of Hong Kong, they are only taking payments and paying affiliates. Running a filelocker that can be used for other services, at least that's how they will play it from a legal standpoint.

Hong Kong police aren't going to do fuck all because there isn't any porn on servers in Hong Kong.

Chances are the HK corp is a holding company for some other company in another tax haven anyway. This would mean they don't have to submit their books to the HK tax office as they would if the corp was in HK.

mightyjoe 10-01-2011 05:18 AM

blame hosting content like filesonic, and many others

forum poster can make $35 for 1000 downloads in 1 movie

so thats an easy 1 member a month to your paysite and within that month they siphoned all your videos, put all it up in a forums and make them thousand of dollars.

some paysite should not offer downloadable content to their members, but in todays tech they can record the videos streaming
