Whether you get it or not, KB's "business" is to get exposure for "stories" and that's what he's done here. To the tune of millions of eyeballs on TMZ.com alone. Forget about TMZ the TV show and all the other TV outlets he's speaking with ... or the Huffington Post and all the blogs that are already picking it up.

One of the funniest things is this "tape" will likely never be released.

I enjoy fucking with him. Some people take a break and watch TV or browse you tube. I took a few minutes here and they to throw some shit back his way, to give his inflated ego a reality check is entertaining to me. He plays it off like he doesn't care but its entertaining to watch someone so full of themselves have their their bubble bursted.

What good does it do to get 'millions of eyeballs' on a story about a sex tape from 20 years ago when A. They don't even mention a company or individual and B. Even if they did, no one would buy it because nobody cares?

I get the publicity angle, but not the lack of credit. I'd want some credit. For all we know, someone else leaked it to TMZ.

When you see how happy Harvey Levin was when he introduced Kevin you get a sense of his appreciation and "credit" he gives to KB ... and that has been something (I know personally) has been built over the past few years. I can't get into the inner workings of the "cottage industry" that is KB's business ... but I can definitely say the credit he gets is worth it's weight in gold ... to him :winkwink:

I'm with you personally on keeping a low profile but KB's $$$ is being that "sex tape guy" ... even if you don't get how it makes him $$$ - it does ... and not just a little.

His appearance on TMZ Live gets HIM more exposure and that DOES get other entertainment outlets ringing his bell. It's the compounded snowball effect - Good Morning America, Howard Stern, Extra, 20/20 ... on and on. He's the defacto "sex tape guy". That leads to him getting everything that pretty much ever comes out (sex tapes) and allows him to be the go to guy in the press.

And, obviously people care - millions of people are talking about this sex tape already. And we're here talking about it now. Just search Google for "tupac sex tape" or variations thereof. It's everywhere already and the story just broke this morning. Tupac was/is still a multi-platinum recording artist who's estate still makes 10's of millions of $'s from his life's work every year. Whether YOU believe it's relevant or not doesn't matter ... people obviously do.

He gets the credit he seeks ... whether it's notoriety from an "inner circle", press or $$$ ... trust me.

I would think that the whole point would be not to issue credit so that it seems somewhat... mysterious... instead of a "plant." Some of the most powerful people are those you will never hear of.

It was some famous US rap artist who's remains were recently up n smoked by his fellow rap crew. Honestly I would like to see that tape also :thumbsup

Lot's of people now shop directly to Hustler, Vivid, and other outlets. There is no de facto anymore. The space has grown and matured.
