Yes on a few Tubes, fucking awful.

Sausage had one and we were the top video liked and viewed, hardly sent traffic and no sign ups. Couldn't be just me, he sold out and is gone from adult.

Then a few more and it was awful.

AEBN have or had one and they were affiliates, sent 10,000s of hits a day. Absolutely floods of them, a few sign ups. Looked at the site. It was a coded link saying "See more of Paul Markham Teens." Looked at the stats and the average stay was seconds, they thought they were getting more free stuff and when they saw a paysite they didn't even bother to look around.

I have no doubt they have traffic that will convert and many of you are working the Tubes. But conversions of 1-500 is losing 499. Losing 498 would be better. Then how many views to see a surfer go to a site? 10, 20, 30?

That's 1-4,000 or 1-8,000 or 1-12,000. That's where the money has gone. Maybe 1-8,000. No industry can sustain that loss if it grows.

Tubes are mopping up the traffic fast, leaving little. And the traffic mopped up is converting worse than it used to. The next move will be more Tubes giving away more content. As TC said, it can't be changed.

No tell me how you get 100 views on a Tube and 5 sales or something equally crazy. Everyone knows the picture. Tubes sell traffic at crap prices, because it's not worth any more. If traffic is king, the kingdom is skint.

What you have to remember is my POV. I remember the days when Private flew a crew to shoot porn in Bali, Thailand, New Zealand, rented huge castles. When movies like the one Max shot were normal for many. When a magazine would pay $2,000 for a solo girl set, as a norm. And one decent video title sold 10,000 times in the US alone, every month and with rental on top.

DVTimes sites and shooting are a joke, unless you bought a membership there.

Damian goes on and on about split testing. Like it's a solution. It's like a dumb fisherman thinking if he throws his hook in one place and then another and then another, he'll get it right in the end. Anyone with a clue knows you have to start with a basic knowledge of the product you're marketing, market conditions and customer you're marketing too. Re-arranging the deck chairs on the Titanic isn't making a lot of difference.

Jel's site sucks, because he can't afford to put decent content into it. His site says everything about him.

TC's shooter has a real problem with lighting, something I pointed out a long time ago. It's not fixed. Has he told his shooter to fix it? Affiliates hit that site and see what it's like, the good ones know that it will not do the best with their traffic. The bad ones will throw some traffic at it and will soon learn. Traffic is very important. RIGHT UP TO the minute it hits the site. Then it's all about the tour and his isn't good enough. A professional would know that.

Yes online content in general sucks. Getting the exposure right doesn't make it great porn. If it is great content, then why aren't the shooters or sponsors selling it offline. Leaving money on the table guys. Or simply, not good enough.

The saddest part of this industry is the blinkered thinking. Damian and few trolls go on and on about us being broke. That the site didn't do well and a lot more bullshit to prop up their mistakes.

His story is he was looking for a shooter to shoot cheap content of girls he would fly from Russia to Czech to get them shot. Because shooting solo girl stuff in Russia is illegal. His girls were working a live web cam. :upsidedow

And we were broke.

Yet we had a 3,000 sq ft studio, studio staff and office staff that to this day he's clueless what they were doing. A man with a brain would of walked into that operation and known straight away. There's no way this guy is going to let one of his shooter, use one of his cameras, lights and parts of the studio to shoot our cheap sets.

And when he posts it here, no one has the brains to think it through. We would be losing money giving 1/3 of our studio shooting staff, camera, equipment, time and studio to shoot exclusive sets for him at $300 a pop. Assuming when he said inexpensive he meant $300 and not lower.

Yes when this part of porn is heavily dominated by people working from home with 0 to little costs, they assume everyone else can. Our operation was like so many other offline shooters and cold never be supported by shooting cheap custom work. We had to shoot for a better paying market. To pay the bills.

If Eva and I had been working from home, shooting on the cheap and unable to shoot for the better paying end. Then we could or would shoot custom sets for $300 to what ever. We were better than that, so didn't and to be honest couldn't.

When buying or selling an item, everyone has what's called in selling teaching as a "Hot Button." This is the real reason they want something new. If you can find that button, selling is easy. The art of a salesman isn't to talk, it's to ask the right questions listen to the answers, qualify them and find that "Hot Button." Press it and take the order.

For us when we bought our new sofa, it was to replace one that I had for years. Buying a quality leather one gives the owner years of wear and tear. And I had given that sofa decades of it. It was a classic style, well built, leather covered and everything wiped straight off.

But it was soft and Eva was in a plastic body corset to support her spine and a soft sofa wasn't suitable.

We wanted leather, price wasn't an issue. The issues were delivery, quality and firmness. We needed one very fast. We needed something that would last and it had to be firm to support Eva's back.

So there were the most important issues for us when buying our new sofa.

So what has this got to do with porn? Yes I was getting to that.
