For all of the bad things Gadaffi did, Lybia was still one of the most "advanced" middle eastern countries in regards to many things such as womens rights and was also one of the more "western" counties in its outlook. Already there have been reports that many areas are now becoming more extreme muslim. Lybia could well become an own goal for human rights.

Libya will become a totalitarian Muslim country now. And yes, it will be the US-friendly one like Saudi Arabia because they have a lot of... try to guess :)

is that really true? i know that's the regular anti-imperialist line, but is it really true? doubtful. that place was a dismal shithole run by a dictator who enriched his family at the expense of the country.
