I don't expect everyone to loathe what he does, I just love to hear the excuses from his loyal followers as to why things are the way they are today! And yes, the left is mad when he gave into some of the gop's demands, UM, democracy means he's suppose to do that, those GOP people represent part of the country that votes, many have forgotten that. I admit it, can't stand the currrent administration, if we had a better democrat running, I would vote for them, I didn't like Barry since day one, more and more people are starting to agree with me. Everything else here is just discussion Although I'm waiting to see how far Cain gets, that could be fun! |

If I were really rich, the last thing I would do with my life is spend time posting on GFY.
Not sure why someone who CLAIMS to be SO SUCCESSFUL in life, would take time out of such a carefree existence, to argue with people on a message board. That leaves two options - 1) You aren't nearly as successful as you pretend to be or 2) You are a very sad and pathetic person, who is technically wealthy enough to fill the days with happier activities, but due to a major personality flaw, has no friends or beneficial ambitions, so posting here is all you have to do. |

That's why we do things. We enjoy them. Allowing some sort of financial success, or lack thereof, to determine whether or not you continue doing a particular activity that you enjoy really makes little sense. I can afford sushi and steak everyday. I still eat tuna from a can. Why? I enjoy it. |

Herman Cain is now recognized by 78% of Republicans nationwide, marking a gain of 28 percentage points since September and 57 points since March. This is the largest gain in recognition for any GOP presidential candidate Gallup has tracked this year, and puts him roughly on par with the other major candidates. http://sas-origin.onstreammedia.com/...m5qzs49sug.gif |

I would be willing to put money on who turned him in to Politico... my money is on the Romney Campaign. I don't think it's a coincidence that on the same day that the story came out, Romney started a media blackout. |

What does it prove? It is idiotic at best. Did you know that 5 out of 10 women make up 50% of the female population? Seriously, name recognition is his strength? Obama vs Cain - who wins? |

All the polls have him ahead, go ahead and look! I don't think his 999 plan will get off the ground, but he keeps gaining in the polls. |

superficially, i want cain to get the nom. will be another first in this country, and i know that those true "you-know-what" people out there are going to just claw their own faces off if they have to choose between two black candidates :1orglaugh but past that, cain shows almost nothing that interest me as a voter and every day he inches closer to nothingness. |

Personally, I am concerned that Romney or Huntsman might become the nominee... none of the others have a chance of getting elected in the General Election except maybe Perry and I have serious doubts that he can regain his footing. Only people who watch too much Fox News think any of the others are viable candidates. I think Romney will end up as the nominee. If a viable third party candidate appears that the Tea Party decides to back... Romney is toast... if I were in charge of the Democratic Party, I would do my best to find one and work to get him some recognition. |

However...a few days ago it was looking pretty good for Obama. I really liked what he said about not waiting on Congress and doing something himself. That fired me up. That was showing a little leadership. Then the Europeans looked like they had a deal in place to save themselves and the market took off along with some other good economic news about growth. Good week for Obama. Today? The Greeks threw a monkey wrench in the European deal and that's not gonna be resolved until January. So it's gonna be a painful 3 months for Obama and the economy. ANYTHING can happen between now and next years election. It really is this simple: The economy turns around? It will be Obama part 2 The economy stays where it's at or worsens? Obama is gone and goes down in history as Jimmy Carter part 2 As Bill Clinton said in 1992: "It's the economy stupid" |

I think the best candidate against Obama would be Ron Paul. He has tons of support but the media and far right wing hates him. That means the rest of America and normal people might toss him a vote. |

Cain wins 43% to 41% Obama has lost the independent vote apparently. http://news.yahoo.com/poll-herman-ca...174426567.html |

YOU are the one that said you didn`t like him from day one , so performance was not an issue, unless you are Miss Cleo . In fact, you HATE him ... If I was a voter, I would not be happy to vote for Obama , in fact displeased , but when you look at the other side , the choice is clear . |

I agree that Obama has lost a great majority of the Independent vote... but a lot of that has to do with the fact that they made a HUGE mistake in their first year agenda. He should have spent way more political capital addressing the economy instead of pushing HCR. I blame a lot of that on the DNC and his advisers. He certainly owns a share of the blame as well... he was tone deaf. That HCR agenda spurned the Tea Party, Glenn Beck, Fox News and the rest of it and another year of right wing talking points as headlines. Axelrod should be fired for allowing that to happen with little interference and Plouffe right along with him. This brings up another point... soon the Supreme Court will take up HCR. The results of that will mean a lot in 2012 and you can bet money on it. |
Quote:
Do you think that Americans who aren't caught up in any particular political party will or won't vote their pocketbook? Dude...seriously. If the economy turns around and people go to work: Obama wins. It it's in the tank? ANYBODY will beat him. I'm pulling for the economy to turn around and Obama to win. And then I'm pulling for the current version of "Obama-Care" to be found unconstitutional. I'd like to see Obama be successful. But quite frankly...I'm intrigued by a "black man VS black man" for president scenario. I truly think Obama has been a much needed inspiration to young black kids. And guys like Cain show black kids that black people are not puppets and can have different political philosophies just like anybody else. Bottom line...let's all hope that the economy turns around and Obama is successful. That means we are all successful. And if he can't do the job? Get someone in that can. As Bill Maher (a big Obama supporter and ultra-liberal) says when he criticizes Obama and his crowd boos: "He's your president, not your boyfriend" |

I am just saying that if it were Cain vs Obama today... Obama would win. Cain may be currently leading among Republican primary voters but that certainly doesn't mean he leads Obama in a national election. You have to look at where he has support and where he doesn't have support... and in the big electoral vote states... Obama still leads. |
