Why is it always the fault of someone or something else? That's the mentality that so many people in the US have and is why they themselves are doomed to go nowhere. Decisions by the people running MySpace caused it to be what it is today. Plain and simple. |

OWS IS corrupt government. OWS wants more power for corrupt government. OWS is backed by the White House, ACORN, and George Soros. OWS is our corrupt government lashing out against its own people. It always wants more, more, more. |

Exactly, MySpace got it's clocked cleaned by Facebook because Myspace was buggy as hell, down all the time, and surfing profiles was like having internet diarrhea. Facebook INNOVATED, myspace was sold to TW and they had no clue what they were doing and ran it into the ground. Now should the govt' have stepped in and stopped the migration cause it wasn't fair? Taxed FaceBook extra cause they executed a biz plan brilliantly? no. |

But even IF you believe that the govt. isn't all powerful...then I still say that there couldn't be ANY corruption if our politicians weren't the ones being paid off! Think about that for a second. IF the politicians weren't "on the take" (in other words: CROOKS) then the "evil" companies wouldn't be able to "pay them off". And just looking at the "BailOuts" that happened...it sure looked to me like the big companies were BROKE. And then the POLITICIANS funneled money to them. (which in the end comes back to the politicians under the table) You see...I can completely understand why anyone (including you) would take a job as a CEO of a big corporation. They get paid millions of dollars right up front. Very transparent. But I have to ask myself...and any of you who are serious thinkers do too...WHY on Earth would anybody spend millions of dollars to get elected to a low paying govt. job? Is it because they are selfless human beings who just want to "serve" the public? You know better than that. At least the CEO of a corporation is a known commodity. His job is to MAKE MONEY. Politicians? It's all hidden and uses OUR MONEY to give them power and glory. |
agent provocateurs already?
they're not screwing around these days wonder what happens if one of these 'tough guys' gets beaten within an inch of his life would he suddenly become a police officer? |

The revolutionaries complained about a lack of representation in Parliament, but in this they were no different from the majority of Englishmen. What was more, the God-given or nature-given rights they claimed for themselves included the right to hold Africans in bondage. Edward Gibbon, who knew something about the ups and downs of history, opposed the rebels from the House of Commons. Samuel Johnson called them ''a race of convicts'' who ''ought to be thankful for any thing we allow them short of hanginng" History belongs to the victors..... |

You bring up some great points! I think you're right, a lot of these politicians, who we know are corrupt as hell, do play the "innocent card" - shit, I havent sided with democrats or republicans for years. People need to realize they are all one in the same. |

The name is actually ill conceived. It should be called the anti-financial services, bailout, lobbyist, political corruption movement, etc. Or more simply AFSBLPCME |

It's all relative to where you are standing. To the USA, George Washington is a patriot and a hero and a (dare I say the word...) "freedom fighter" To the British in 1776, he was a traitor and a (dare I say the word) "terrorist" ======= From where the "average" guy in America is standing...some of the OWS comes off as a bunch of "liberal" babies crying. From where the OWS prostesters are standing, they are patriots and a voice for the common man. From where the Democratic Party is standing, they are a potential God-Send in getting their apathetic base to wake up in time for the election. And from where you are standing...you think you're the only guy who ever cracked a history book or went to college. |

The "99%" name is catchy. That's why it caught on. But you're right...it's factually not a real representation of what they are protesting. I'm not even sure if theoretically they are protesting "rich people" at all. Aren't they really against banks and big corps who fucked over the economy with back door deals gone bad? |

living in a McMansion in Williamstown or Washington Township and renting a condo in Ocean City, Avalon or North Wildwood during the summer doesn't make you an elite. I'm pretty sure Pine Valley Golf Club ain't sending you an invitation to play the course anytime soon. No, you gotta go down the street to the public course they built where action mountain used to be or over to Valleybrook. Please, when you get done posting here you're probably over at Reggie's(I refuse to call it Skeeter's pub), Adelphia's or the Piccalilli drinking with the "rabble". |

I'll chalk it up to the boss being mean to you.:1orglaugh No son, the rabble are NOT the hard working men and women of this country. They're the trash that 'occupies' and wants their loans forgiven and wants to be handed what others have worked for. It's trash like you, marketsmart. :1orglaugh |

Why are you so worried about what other people are making? |

Getting rich because you have something people want (Apple and Starbucks) more power to them, including their billionaire founders. When you have the oldest most respected people on the street complaining that they have people on staff creating financial products they can't even comprehend as an experienced and respected money man... we have a problem. On my phone and I could go on and on, but I am sure you get the drift. |

good read on the shit that banks did that blew up the economy. if people feel subjectively that they are getting a raw deal from the social contract it does not matter that ron or some american pretending to be a russian thinks on a message board, that sense if grievance will lead to action and change, as it seems to be building every day. |

If I was single and didn't have kids id be down there in oakland with my peeps breaking shit. Looks like a lot of fun really.
In reality a lot of these people have no idea why they are angry. Occupy peeps or Tea Party Peeps. There are boneheads on both sides. Some have good points but most of these people are just fucktards.. But there is nothing wrong with being a fucktard. It can be fun.. Ive been one most my life. Now I'm a 1%er.. But I'm still a fucktard at heart.. |

I mean what's your point exactly, that you deserve CEO pay for being a porn affiliate? Or is it that, having made the poor choice of porn affiliate, you're envious of those who made the right choice to become a CEO? Poor choices HAVE never and WILL never be rewarded. |

i think there is still some confusion as to who the 1% club actually is
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rockefeller_family here are some members. no one in the industry belongs...not even ron from ccbill makes enough...sorry but no one here makes enough or has enough power to belong. no one here lobbys government and has politicians on the pay roll. and i highly doubt anyone here even knows a 1%er...so for you to claim you do Gleem is somewhat hilarious. tell me which CEO from a fortune 50 company do you know and befriend? which major bank CEO is your buddy? which oil or nuclear plant owner do you hang out with and watch them build mansions? which of the founding familys do you visit? |
