AVN already booted one advertiser over the occupy media revenue protest. On the (slim) chance their investigation comes back clean do you think MR will spend a dime with them ever again?

If an advertiser has an outstanding debt, why should AVN refuse the ad dollars? Eric isn't Judge Judy, and unless there is proof of wide spread scamming they have no need to get involved. In the MR case, enough webmasters had their cards banged to cause a reaction, but when it comes to debt's like this it's up to you if you want to do business with GTS in the future.

My buddy would prefer to stay out of this if possible, as he is the drama free sort. I respect that, but I'm sure if he is really needed for anything he will poke his head in.

Here is the situation:

My partner had purchased traffic from GTS in the past, he had a brand new site that he personally approached Mark for advice on which traffic stream from GTS to purchase for it.

He gave Mark the site, and asked if Mark thought a certain line of GTS traffic would work well on it, to which Mark agreed.. Very impressive site, and yes.. I think that line of traffic would kill on it. The conversation was larger than that but that is the bottom line.

Mark was the only person my buddy showed his site to, because of Mark's extensive knowledge of his own traffic and how it converts best. A very "normal" thing to do.

Well, my buddy takes down some notes, makes some plans to buy X stream from GTS in the next coming days.. regular business.

To my buddies shock, around a week later.. he's going through some traffic streams checking out the competition, checking out his own sites.. as you do.. and bam, what does he find...? AN EXACT COPY OF HIS BRAND NEW WEB SITE REGISTERED TO MARK VIA GTS. A complete copy, hadn't even bothered to change the text around even a little bit, exact replica.

Infuriated, he contacts Mark on icq and here are the chat logs that follow:

My buddy says the he never received any compensation from Mark, just the site was taken down that instant and never went back live (that he knew of).

Bottom line,

he went to Mark for some advice on a few of the streams at GTS, Mark agreed with his stream ideas, then turned around and sent in an order to copy the website exactly and to put it up immediately for traffic runs. My buddy found out about it, confronted Mark, Mark admitted his guilt instantly, and said he would take this site down.

My buddy said all the while he talked to Mark, mark was sarcastic, made awful jokes, almost poked fun at the situation.. total disrespect.. My buddy also says he has extended logs, no compensation was ever met, but that this was all we needed to see. He also didn't want his name or sites exposed.. and I for one respect that.. I can tell you for certain, all the information presented is absolutely spot on accurate.
