Don't really get why ppl have such a prob with the 4.5% fee. So far, if I wanted to load my Paxum account via external credit card I needed to do it through Paypal and then an exchange service, usually charging 10%.

So definitely a time and money saver. :thumbsup And at the moment pretty much of a life saver either, as I have to pay my content provider and host via Paxum, and let's just say sponsor payouts aren't as stable atm as they used to be :disgust

It is fine fee, especially for small transfers for which paxum is mostly used anyway.I just laughed at those posts calling paxum "paypal killer".To kill paypal you need to offer something original.

How does this appear to my credit card company? Is this considered a purchase, or since it's loading cash into my account, will I be charged a cash advance percentage and fee by my credit card I'm using to add funds into my paxum account.

Thank you.

CaptainWolfy 11-23-2011 08:42 AM

great news i like it a lot

Thank you.

This is considered a purchase, not a cash advance. Your card will be billed to 'Paxum' :thumbsup

Very nice new feature... I'd like to see transfers to Canadian bank accounts and would be fantastic if there was an invoice system like PayPal has.

Any chance we could see it implemented in near future?

Same here. And it's something I find irritating. If I understand correctly, Paxum accounts themselves are Canadian held checking accounts. If this is the case, then it makes very little sense to me why Canadians are unable to withdraw to a Canadian bank account.

Even more baffling is that some of us have USD accounts and STILL cannot withdraw to our USD accounts -- the Paxum status message states only those accounts held by US citizens can be verified.

I'd love to know why, as a Canadian, I am unable to withdraw to Canadian bank account FROM a Canadian held Paxum checking account, or even to my US account.

I presume you're talking about EFT and not some of our other withdrawal options; Wire and Check, since both Wire and Check withdrawals are already available in Canadian currency if desired.

Canadian EFT would work only in Canadian dollars and not in USD. In order to use Canadian EFT, our clients would need to transfer the funds from their Paxum USD checking account to their Paxum CAD checking account, and then initiate the withdrawal from there.

Based on usage statistics of our internal checking accounts (multiple currency options) the demand is not strong enough to justify the setup and implementation of this service for Canadian Dollar accounts. If demand increases for this service however, then we will be happy to consider adding this option.

With regards to your query about using EFT if you have a USD bank account; the EFT system that we use MUST deliver the funds to a US bank account that has a US mailing address attached to it. It is a limitation of the system and there is no workaround. If you have a USA mailing address associated with your USD bank account, then please add that mailing address to your Paxum account and verify it. Once verified you will be able to use our EFT services.

Have you ever seen our Request Money feature?

Login to your Paxum account

Click Request Money in the top menu tab

From there you have the options to Create A New Request, view Money Requests you have received, and check on the status of Money Requests you have sent.

When you click Create A New Request you will be taken to a simple form where you input the email address of the person you're requesting money from, specify which of your internal checking accounts you want the funds delivered to, and then state the amount and transaction type. You also have the option to send a notification email along with your Money Request. You can specify the subject line and insert whatever note you wish to send along with your request.

Once you hit Continue your request will be instantly sent to the Paxum user you specified in the request. That Paxum user will receive an email notification that they have received a Paxum Money Request, and the next time they login to their Paxum account they will see an alert on the landing page showing pending Money Requests.

Although it's not quite the same as an invoice system (and I will look into that for you), the Request Money option does offer you a similar service that can hopefully serve your needs for the time being.

Thanks for your suggestions! :thumbsup

If you have a Paypal Credit Card (attached to your Paypal account) then you can now use the new Instant Loading via External Credit card option to fund your Paxum account that way. :thumbsup
