I used to have a similar argument about gangster rap and violence with a friend, it would often go like this:
Him: it's totally stupid to say there is a connection between a form of music and violence!
Me: I believe you .... Hey what are you going to listen to when you work out today?
Him: I dunno, I have all kinds of music on my playlist. Most of it is rock.
Me: why rock? Why not jazz or country?
Him: I need music that gets me pumped up and full of energy! Why are you asking such stupid questions?
Me: just curious. It's a bit Interesting.... You are saying the music you listen to causes an actual physiological change in your body. It changes your mood ... Your attitude.... Your level of agression. Your energy levels. |
