So anthony a fellow American has backed up what you claim NEVER happens. Guess he's lying as well?? Guess you will need more testimonials from others to get it through your head that some of your fellow country men are giving americans a bad name around the world. I will say this again I love 99% of Americans I've met. Its just the small percentage that are too ignorant to understand that there is more to this world then america. Also there are plenty of canadians, brits, aussies, whatever that are just as guilty.

I am an American who has lived in Europe for 10 years and I have never once even considered pretending to be Canadian or anything else. Some people don't like Americans but why the fuck would I care? I cannot imagine how pathetic someone would have to be to pretend to be a Canadian.

The problem with global warming is that the leftists got greedy. The last 30 years or so the earth HAS gotten slightly warmer (as have the other planets). That wasn't good enough for the leftists. Now every time yet another star scientist of the left admits that they lied, exaggerated, and hid or faked data, it leads some people to question whether global warming exists at all. It does, but that's not good enough for the left wing. They have to exaggerate to the point that people question whether it exists at all.

There's no reason one can't believe as Einstein did that science is how we come to understand the natural systems which are expressions of a deeper energy. When religionists try to discredit evolution as the mechanism by which things change, they are getting silly. At the same time, evolution explains how once species of dolphin becomes another. Evolution by itself doesn't even claim that a rock "evolved" into a living fish. Also just because today's smart phone designs "evolved" from Graham Bell's invention doesn't mean Graham Bell didn't start the process with a CREATION of the phone, or even that the evolution to today's phones didn't involve intelligent design by humans. Thus, creation and evolution are complimentary processes. Those who believe there is a creative force we can't understand need not argue that those creations then couldn't evolve. By the same token, those who believe that a sea worm turned into Obama need not violently fight the notion that something created the sea worm to begin with, or pointed it in the right direction to become Obama. |

If GW is proven science, what's to fear in a vigorous debate with lots of scientists?
If GW is proven science, why all the scientific fraud from the GW proponents? Given his large investments in the carbon credit business, how can Al Gore be considered an impartial information source in this area? |

Unfortunately that's what happens when people cry wolf and exaggerate. In the 1970s, the environmentalists wanted to ban aerosols because aerosols made the earth COOLER, they claimed. Hubert Lamb, director of the Climate Research Unit, was one of the ones warning about a man made ice age. When the 1980s were toasty, environmentalists including Lamb changed their tune and said global WARMING would sink California by the year 2000. It's 2011 and California is still there. Some of the top scientists quoted in the 80s and 90s have admitted they were lying. All of that exaggeration eliminated a lot of credibility in some people's opinion. It's true that California might be in danger in 5,000 years, depending on sun cycles, pollutants, and other things. Once you've claimed it would be under water in 20 years and it's totally unaffected 30 years later some people stop listening to you, though. |
I'm surprised no one has pointed this out so far. Climategate 2.0 is happening right now. Another 5000 emails between the key players to do with AGW has been hacked/stolen/released/whatever from within the CRU.
http://wattsupwiththat.com/ Highlights for me so far are Phil Jones - head of the CRU - couldn't work Excel well enough to plot a trend to refute a sceptics enquiry. Rob Wilson - a researcher working FOR the CRU - was able to easily reproduce the hockey stick by just feeding their climate models white noise. Ooops. Other recuring themes:- Much higher levels of uncertainty when talking to each other privately than they ever admit in private. Endless attempts to make sure that anything that didn't agree with the consensus was not only never published but that the researcher and offending editors were blackballed. Meanwhile papers they admitted in private to being low quality - but from on message "team" players - got published without negative comment and usually fast as well. Maybe the science is settled, but the behaviour of some of the key scientists absolutely reeks. |

Amen. Bash them all or shut the fuck up. A person looks like a moron bashing Fox and acting like MSNBC is anything but the left's version of Fox. None of these stations should be allowed to call themselves news outlets anymore.:2 cents: |

My issue with it is that this has not been about science, but rather about a political agenda. This has become about promoting global governance, global taxation, and global wealth redistribution. I used to be very heavily involved in environmental groups, and on the local level, I still am, but over the last 25 years I've watched the big ones become all about a political agenda, rather than the environment. .:2 cents: |
