Well, if I was really going to go for it I would rather scan my lists with automated way using bot or something of this kind. Typing isn't efficient way to find top keywords. But it was only for fun and to kill curiosity as I don't have much interests in adult names in general anymore, if I registered any I would do it only for resell purpose. :)

how exactly is the performer reserved work ?

i notice many performer reserved domains that are either one word or fairly basic

have these been reserved by performers or reserved by you for performers ?

i realize you can't answer every question for many reasons but how did you pick what domains to reserve for yourself and what domains are premium ?

when/how does someone bid on a "premium reserved" domain ?
what happens to all the domains that are reserved for you ? will they eventually be open for auction or are they banned forever?

why are names like "because.xxx" reserved ?

Performer Reserved would be part of this program, and more details have yet to be announced.

I think there may be a misunderstanding in what those labels mean. The ones that are coming back as just 'reserved' should be inclusive of everything reserved by other parties during Sunrise and Landrush. 'Premium Reserved' are the ones held by ICM Registry. I'm not sure what method was used to determine those premium names, just that it was approximately 1k common word, premium generic names.


We are interested in speaking to any and all parties that have great development ideas for those domains at any time.

Not sure how to respond to this beyond please see the explanation of 'reserved' above.

I really can't speak to decisions about individual names like 'because.xxx.' I'm not sure if names like 'my.xxx' will become available at some point or not. At this time, names need to be 3 or more letters.

That seems like a strange arrangement. If i have told you my idea what stops you from just stealing my idea or jacking up the price ? How do we figure out a price ? I have never gone to an auction where they want to know how i will be using the item and how much potential $$ it will make me and then base a reserve on my profit potential ? you guys really have the right to do that ?

What if more than one person is interested in the same domain? What's the process?

We aren't in the content business LeRoy, but we are very open to innovative and exciting new ideas and business plans.

We want a healthy, developed, vibrant space to appeal to consumers and other providers. It's entirely possible if you have a stellar idea for a premium domain, that we would allocate that domain for no premium. (In other words, for the standard registration fee.)

1500 was an approximate number for Founders. 1k, for common word, premium generic names. We are comfortably over 100k names under management at this time. I'm sure that more figures will be published next week once GA opens.

Aside from any auctions, which will always be public and published, Premium names are open to serious enquiries and each one is treated confidentially. The process is: we enter into a mutual non-disclosure agreement, we talk - and see whether we can agree to a mutually satisfactory deal which balances price and development ideas. Then it's either done, or not. This is a private, and bone fide business negotiation.

Development plans and new ideas are VERY important to us, because we are committed to making .XXX a vibrant, healthy space. We held these names to make sure they would be developed into exciting new adult destinations and we are NOT simply looking for the highest bidder for them.

So after vibrant negotiations and sweet dollar paid, if new owner deviates from said business plan does ICM then reserve the right to take back overpriced domain purchase?

Did you miss the part where I mentioned that we aren't necessarily looking for top dollar?

I highly doubt we would enter into a contract with someone that didn't have full intent to develop, but if a valuable name has been allocated with no premium there would be basic, though not detailed development timetables. If a premium was involved no such requirements would exist.

As far as I'm aware, the only .XXX domains that are currently live are from the small pool of common word, premium generic names that ICM Registry held in reserve. All other domains reserved during Sunrise and Landrush should resolve on December 6th.
