It should go without saying, but people with serious mental disorders shouldn't take mind altering substances unless otherwise instructed by a qualified medical professional.

I don't mean normal weed symptoms where things change a bit, I sometimes choke on my own spit lol. Although all I do now is drink alcohol once in awhile, I enjoy almost all major drugs except marijuana, it is a bad feeling for me.

My father was the same way, when I was a kid at my friend's bday party, my father went in the house with another father and smoked a joint. They had to call the ambulance because he thought he was having a heart attack.

I was told marijuana effects are largely based on your blood type. Not sure if that is true. I am "O Negative".

Sounds like you need some good indica and your and your dad's bad experiences were from sativa. :upsidedow

I used to smoke marijuana for years but stopped primarily because I developed a chronic cough from smoking (I have never smoked tobacco, only cannabis).

For nearly ten years I did not consume marijuana. However, in the past few years I have been beset with a number of health issues, which includes chronic pain symptoms, and since I have an aversion to pharmaceutical pain medicines, I decided to give cannabis another try.

This time though, I have tried to limit myself to using a vaporizer and consuming edibles, instead of smoking. I'm happy to report that not only did I start feeling better, but as of last February, I stopped drinking alcohol, and since that time, my weight has dropped 70+ pounds, my systolic and diastolic blood pressure readings have decreased dramatically, and I am feeling healthier overall than I have for the past few years (cannabis is not curing my health issues, but I feel better nonetheless).

I strongly recommend that anyone whom consumes marijuana on a regular basis, seriously consider vaporizing or edibles as alternatives to smoking marijuana. :2 cents:

Legalize marijuana... :stoned

I have found that smoking indica strains are better for me. Sativa strains literally make me feel like I just snorted several lines of cocaine! Instead of chilling I become hyper and exhibit the symptoms above.

I get that sometimes lately. Strange thing is, i never used to. I think maybe anxiety plays some kind of role in it because when that happens once, you think its gonna happen again next time and then worry about it..i can't seem to drink alcohol and smoke weed at the same time anymore. it makes me very lightheaded after only a couple of beers but if it just smoke weed or just drink beers, it doesn't have that effect.

indeed. i had a 'friend' who get all kinds of crazy when he'd smoke. he would imagine we were saying bad things about him and get all upset or start going on about how his clothes are bothering him and he'd want to take them off...very strange. he freaked me out.

Sometimes I will have a joint - but always on my own - I get paranoid...

Substituted alcohol with weed about 5 years back. Rarely, if ever, drink these days. I've felt much better since, and also lost the little belly I was getting. Smoke usually once a week.

How do you like it (especially compared with the more heavy duty vaporizers)? I haven't had much luck with portable vaporizers (I find it hard to get a consistent big hit).

I have been using the Launch Box as a portable vaporizer:

For serious vaporizing, definitely invest in a Volcano. It will pay for itself in short order, since vaporizing is way more efficient then burning cannabis (so you save money as your stash lasts longer), and the leftover vape material is great for edibles:

Mizz 420 teaches you how to use a Volcano (nice tatas too):

My college roomate used to blow smoke in my ear everytime I passed out watchin a movie on the couch and then she would just sit there to see if I woke up high.

She holds a Doctorate today, pothead yes... stupid not so much.

I personally know more doctors with sub 110 iq's than i know potheads with under 110 iq's... consensus? Doctors can be retards too, they just stayed in school longer... ;)

I honestly think it is pretty harmless for the most part, especially considering how many other harmful things there are out there. What bothers me is the sub culture of people where weed makes up 85% of their personality that I find both dull and sad.

Why be a hater though? If weed makes some people that happy, why hate on it? Pompous issues?

I know very little about weed, I knew there were lots of different types. I may actually look into trying some indica out and see how it goes. :)

I read many comments about weed being part of Canadian identity. Sure, Canadians see hemp shops on the street. They can even pick up a copy of "Weed World" magazine from their local magazine store. Someone might approach you on the street to offer you to look through different varieties of weed, probably late at night. See weeds labeled "laughing Buddha weed" or other kinds. There is much secrecy to marijuana although some stoners feel they have to tell something to the rest of the world.
