I find it bizare too that you build up a .com site then move everything to .xxx
i would presume hits would drop. |

do you know any .mobi sites? |
Non porn sites should not care.
a .com is these days a sort of host site, with links to facebook, twitter and so on. also we have phone aps. the importance on a domain name gets less each year rather than more. a few years ago it was presumed that if you got a .com it would gain value year after year, but a lot of people now just ONLY use facebook. walk around and all you see is people on mobile phones on facebook. |

.xxx is .mobi - I should put that in my sig. |
.com is and always will be king. Get use to it.

sad but true. |
That "pr rep" that works or worked for them probably had some hand in saying this was a good idea. They always were amazing at deflecting things that made sense for c4s and steering them into retarded shit.

most people type .com .xxx will not be a natural thing to type. anyway, good luck macking cash with .xxx when isp's have it as an opt in option, or make people to pay to opt in. most isp's will havce it as an opt in option. why? well market force will demand it. just thinmk how many parents will be moaning that they can access .xxx sites. isp's will have it as an opt in to keep most of there customers happy. so good luck with .xxx |

the bulk of .xxx have been bought by firms in fear. i suspect that 98% of all .xxx domains will not be used. to me, to be honest, site.xxx does not sound as good as site.com. .com just sounds better. i am hoping somone buys all the .xxx of the domains i have and makes the sites popular as i will get lots of type ins from it, as people out of habit type .com rather than .xxx. |

I don't own any .xxx domains and don't plan to unless by some miracle something amazing is available after everyone talking shit here gets done running their premade list the minute registrations open. https://www.google.com/search?client...hannel=suggest See the #10 result. Go try to do that on another domain, period. At the very least every single good exact phrase keyword domain will be registered. On top of that you'll have people that want shit that would sound non adult without the .xxx extension (chatnow.xxx) or even new brands that would fit under .xxx like midnightdesigns.xxx. Oh, and don't forget about every single city / state / location that will be snapped up and developed. Dallas.xxx anyone? Think you'll find a list of coffee shops on that domain? Everyone that sees that will know EXACTLY what it is and remember it for LIFE. You know NOTHING. There are a lot of reasons to hate .xxx and the monkey that owns it but saying it will be worthless is showing a severe lack of judgment and thought on your part. Now have a nice fucking day. :thumbsup |
to be honest i hope lots of people buy .xxx, i realy do.
then when isp's ban them, i will be racking it in as i will be the only sites they can access. to be honest when .mobi came out, they used the same auguments as .xxx. they tried to sell on fear. they sugested only .mobi would be on mobile phones. lots of hype. but i used logic, rather than panick, and ignored them, as i will with .xxx. i will be happy for you all to buy .xxx. i am looking forward to seeing people buy .xxx then hoping to make money by selling them, and no one wanting them. i suspect in two years time the net will be full of .xxx that havve been droped as no one will want them. |

so your relying on everyone typing xxx into google? |

Just wait until tube.xxx or whatever launches. The more surfers see this extension the more they will start using it. Ignore away, but don't act like they have no value or won't even be remembered in a year.

this does not mean that if say i bought porn.xxx it would be top in google, it could drop. |

How many years will it take before C4S earns back that 700K solely due to revenue attributed to their new .xxx domains? What else could they have done with 700K to increase their revenue by a wider margin over the same period of time?
I would not like to be in their 'how it went' meetings a year from now. :2 cents: |

lets look at a real .xxx site operated by somone who posts on this forum. shemale.xxx I first googled shemale. not on the first 5 pages, so i gave up. now i try shemale xxx. again got to page 5 but could not see it. so your argument has failed. .xxx clearly does not increase your goiogle position. |

its not like they have been putting .xxx adverts on tv is it? |
ha ha ha
i googled .xxx not one single .xxx domain was on page 1 of google. in fact i have got to page 5, still no .xxx sites??? |
i hasve got to page 9 of my .xxx google search. still not found any .xxx sites?
i did a search for just xxx. still not found any .xxx sites. oh well |

now i proved i am correct, i am off to bed. chow |

1. New stores are popping up every day. It is bound to happen. 2. The categories that went into place last year limit the audience. For example, if a female domination clips featuring strap on and face slapping is uploaded to a store - that store can pick only a single category for the clip. If the store owner chooses "face slapping" - it doesn't show up on their strap on or femdom store. That HURTS. It effected my sales as soon as this change was made. 3. Email notices are not going out consistently. My store is always in the top 3 so I know the C4S system pretty well. The difference of emails going out or not going is about 20% of daily sales. The timing of the emails is important too but has become impossible for the store owner to control. Cheyenne |
considering DVTimes is wrong about everything i sadly conclude their will be a great and successful future for dot xxx.

If you want to hurt .XXX and minimize the potential damage you should push for .adult, .porn, .sex, and .gay which are not owned by ICM. It would immediately devalue .XXX domains and it would also serve as a hedge for if .XXX were ever to become mandatory.
