When your enemies are locked in combat

There are as many forces seeking to ban .xxx as a legitimization of pornography as there are forces desiring to relegate pornography to it own restrictive ghetto. They may just ban the .xxx domain country by country limiting its value -- some countries have stated that as their solution ...

Sometimes having ones enemies at each others throats is not such a bad position to be in.

Does this mean you don't own any .xxx domains? You have allowed cyber squatters to register manwin.xxx and the .xxx versions of all your other sites?

I am not trying to be a smart ass. I am really wondering if you didn't register ANY .XXX domains for insurance. If you didn't, then you are definitely standing behind what you are saying.

Wrong Fabian. This is Fabien, not Fabian from Manwin.

I will do all in my power to act like you did. Problem is to move sites to another host because other one can also host them at some point, but anyway, I will not trade (can't wait to refuse first trade with some owner of xxx) with those domains, and also promote sites using those domains.

I could see republican politicians running on an outright ban of the TLD to "clean up the internet". Sooner than later.

I am personally against it because it is allowing a group of fucktards to make huge amounts of money off of our TLDs .. Because they are a bunch of lying cunts who decided that they would "reserve" domains for their own personal gain ... Basically stealing my branding and devaluing my TLD

I won't be buying a .XXX domain, I believe it brings nothing but bad things to the table concerning the adult industry. I'm not going to hate on anyone that purchases one, but I won't purchase one myself.

This is quite interesting... They has 100k domains after sunrise, which was for trademark owners. It was widely reported that a huge % of this was defensive.

Then came land rush, for industry people only.

Then GA, which caused by far most of the registrations post sunrise according to those numbers. Clear sign the domains are not bought by the industry but by domainers. We were already contacted regarding selling us typo domains in .xxx that people picked up. Great success for the stld. I wonder how many GOOD sites will actually come out of this....

Although the wrong Fabian... No, we did not buy any .xxx domain. We told icm months ago that we will sue them for trademark infringement I'm case they let others register our marks. And we gave them a list. You will notice that those all come up as ICM reserved.

Also, note that the agreement from icm which you agree to when you buy a .xxx domain basically states that you are no longer allowed to sue them ever.

There seems to have been 50 mil + already spent on registrations of .xxx. I highly doubt people are not going to use them.

I admit I know very little about this but isn't the big question how Google will treat them? Or is that already known?

If a com owner do not wanted to use the sunrise landrush option or talk ICM at all, he can not complain a domainer got the xxx later. Using xxx whois it is easy to see a big % of typo but also exact site names are taken by domainers (or competitors), not by program and com owners. I assume in most cases that's sort of choice of com owners.

But in addition to that, several xxx's are going in auction in January! Include some exact match of alexa #1000 , #500 pay sites, very known. I assume the domainer(s) pre-owned the org, net, biz, info or else so to triggered the auction with the com owner.
Outcome of those auctions may upset it more the com owners, as they used the sunrise landrush option and talked ICM, still did not got the XXX or had to pay it not just $100.

What I mean there is a big difference between who not wanted to get an XXX and that was got by a domainer (this is a choice of com owner... he can't complain), and who wanted to get an XXX, preonwed the com, done all ok for sunrise procedure, but for whatever reason the xxx it gone to other domainer (or competor) already or it is in auction for january and who knows how it will end.
