Shit!! I run a hard day. Depending on the script its an 8-10 hours per day. Make up, pretty girls, story dialog, Storyboard stills, hardcore stills, then I shoot the sex. The sex is the easiest part. Shooting the story/Fantasy is the most time consuming part.

I could not even imagine using an amateur or a Non-Vetran guy. The guys I use are super solid. As a result of them being solid and never wasting my time, their rate is very high (Which I pay with a smile). New guys?? Never again!! There are a few guys out there that are batting 80%. I can't afford 80%, I need 100% all of the time. I could not imaging having a custom set built, 6 hours into the shoot and all of the stills and story dialog done and then the guy fails or can't finish or gets frustrated and walks off. I would flip!!

That has happen to a few people I know. Very expensive day and the lesson of the day is, If its an important shoot, use a veteran male. I rather pay the extra on the guy than the extra on a failed shoot.:2 cents:

It has it's pros and cons.

And it leaves a door open for me because the most expensive thing is usually the female talent (unless you're doing a real crazy location setup), and since I've always got her, that doesn't come into play for me.

Therefore I'm able to roll the dice and use amateur guys. And like I said earlier...we've had great success with them. Never lost a scene.

And it makes our content a bit fresher because the amateur guys are really having sex. They are excited and take direction really well from me. So I end up with some real passion.

And since our scripts and setups are always comedy based the dialogue is always "good", even when it's "bad" :1orglaugh

But yeah...for someone in your position, you pretty much have no choice but to use your "go to" guys that you can depend on.
