Man I don't even remember what we were talking about but I don't think he's fighting for the industry at all. He's fighting for his pocketbook, lol. In fact, I am quite worried about one company buying up as much as they can, especially ones smart enough to generate their own traffic on an epic scale.
Now Paul will be in here saying I'm going to be at McDonalds soon because they will put me out of business. No, I just don't want to even worry about someone I promote getting bought out and things changing to something that has a negative effect on me. I won't die if they buy every adult company on earth Paul, leave me alone. |

As for fighting piracy, well that he's vague about. He said he can't delete whole accounts of people who break his TOS, well we know that's BS. He never did come back with a definitive answer from his lawyers on that one. Advertising on a piracy site isn't fighting piracy, it's funding it. Quote:
I said $100,000,000 Fabian implied it was a more. So does a financial organisation just "loan" a porn company $150,000,000 or $200,000,000. Or do they say "Go Public" and we will buy the shares? Or did the money come from elsewhere? One thing is 100% for sure. We will never be told. Quote:
My company is currently worth $100,000,000 which we got from ??????????. Still here are my figures for the last 3-4 years, figures of the industry turn over for the last 5 years, figures of our projection of the industry for the next 5 years. Which is the time we will repay a loan from you of $200,000,000. Yes that's a pitch. Into the dumpster. :1orglaugh |

Now I've learned he said it was a WS bank. I'm getting more of the doubtful Thomas thoughts. WS banks are not getting a good press at the moment. So what's the odds they will make a 9 figure cash loan to a porn company with a string of sites like Manwin has? I can think of one company not a million miles from WS who would love to know about this NYT is the initials you're looking for. Forget about the spreadsheets, forecasts, collateral, etc. Think of the headlines. WALL STREET BANKERS LOAN ONLINE PORN COMPANY $200,000,000 IN CASH. Now does that sound like something WS is going to get into in 2010? Mainstream Internet with tangible goods, very likely. To a company with no record of this retail market on or offline? Not likely. |

Once they get some mainstream diversity, they would be able to pass for a TECHNOLOGY company more than a porn company. Which would allow them to go public or whatever their true end goal is. However, going public has a lot of draw backs, so I doubt they are in any rush. :2 cents: |
Yes Paul, he made up the 9 figure loan and instead shit out a printing press and made lots of $1 bills as to not draw attention to the counterfeits.

Yep another great Internext speech?
This reminds me of the last internext seminar I went to where hosting companies promised everyone that "illegal tubes" would be shut down, or that they wouldn't host such sites. And everyone went out of the room smiling, saying these guys are all right. So this guy gets up there and gives a speech about how Manwin is a tech company and really doesn't like pirated content and on his sites there is none, and everyone walks away smiling again? |

Of course Playboy will get a few more doors open, but without them they would have been fine if they shot the right scenes, which I'm sure they did. So I don't believe they did it just to get their foot in the broadcast door. It makes more sense to say they just wanted to be a powerhouse in that market like they are in every other market. In that case, you would go after Playboy and Digital Playground. But not just so they can have that as an outlet. |

I retired and that's adapting. :thumbsup We will all find out soon enough or it's a non porn plan. No legit financier puts up 9 figures for things that will happen in 12 months. So we should all just chill and wait it out. This business is too extreme in it's attitude sometimes. One minute Fabian/Manwin is the most hated man/company in porn, then he/they are the most loved. This is for sure, for many of you, Manwin are competition. Even affiliates. |

So he gave a speech, made his point, shared his vision and explained in his words how he all did it. He is now the biggest player in this industry by controlling all the chains he needs.
Now as a Tech company with an army of employees, consultants, lawyers and a bunch of shared toilets he now has to connect the dots and monetize all his acquisitions. The question is what is the rest of the competition (from what is left) going to do? Alliance with other adult companies to form a strong pact, join forces with MW (within LegendaryStats) or continuing in solo mode? |

Putting together a site with approx 10,000 scenes, across the 3-5 top niches. With people feeding traffic into tours slanted towards the niche they are targeting. Pricing $14.95 approx, could work. Give affiliates 2 options, keep sending or go. Or offering a week in this site, week in that and so on for four weeks at $14.95 and let the customer choose what 4 he likes the best. He could even select once in his first choice. Now can BB, RK and a few others get their heads around it? |
pimproll already has sites like that. did it make them the netflix of porn? no.

If you actually read a Paul Markham post, you just got fucked.

What i don't get is why everyone believes all the bullshit....haven't we heard this before? We don't own tubesites.....
I gotta good idea that Manwin owns a LOT more of porn valley than people know...that new testing clinic and AVN for starters |

That or be relegated to micro niche content |

Lol at the 9 digit loan from a "wallstreet fund", everyone knows where they money came from...
Later in the speech he even mentions "our investor", but he quickly realized he revealed his lies and changes it to lender. |
