Manwin buy up loads of archives or companies with loads of archives. They then adopt a model similar to MU. Low cost downloads of porn. No affiliate payments and running it like these guys did. Without the user uploads. Plus adverting other sites.

Feasible or not?

These guys were making money, enough to get the attention of someone like Manwin and think of a way to sell themselves without the "traffic" costs being so high?

MU is not huge in adult piracy, so taking them down will not have a significant effect on our sales. When oron and filesonic will come down (hopefully soon), that will change alot indeed. '99 is not coming back, there is no argument over this, but our sales will be much more healthier.

Megaupload (were they called then then?) and Rapidshare were one of the first ones though. So a lot of old links just went dead at least. I agree unfortunately '99 is not coming back anytime soon.

True, old school forums like saff.cc still featured alot of old megaupload links up intil recently that went dead overnight yesterday. But still new gen of posters that use auto-posting software is breeding new links at an amazing speed so whatever replacement is necessary will be done in no time. Eventually, it's only when oron and filesonic and rest of the bunch will follow megaupload, we'll get a little bit of relief.
